If there are any tap dancers in town, come by Em & Mẹ Café this afternoon for their biweekly Jazz Night! It goes from 5-8 PM with the house band performing for the first hour, and then an open jam for the last two hours.

Bring your tap shoes; a tap board will be available!

Remember that@emandmecafe’s next biweekly Jazz Night will be TOMORROW NIGHT, September 1. After that, they will have another on Tuesday, September 15.

As always, the house band plays from 5-6 PM, and the open jam goes from 6-8. Bring your tap shoes, and a wooden board will be provided unless, of course, you prefer to bring your own!

As many of you might know, the Em and Mę Vietnamese Café in the Germantown neighborhood has been hosting Jazz Night on Tuesday nights every other week for the past month.

Nashville has a community of talented tap dance artists, and since tap dancers are also musicians, it is important to connect with our city’s jazz musicians. Also, it is important for tap dancers to perform to live music with live musicians.

That is why, through Faithful Rhythm Productions, tap dance artists from all over the area are invited to take part in Em and Mę’s Jazz Nights! We encourage you to pull up to the restaurant at 1244 3rd Avenue North, chill out after a long day’s work, listen to some good music, eat some good food, and connect with other artists and musicians. Of course, most importantly, we encourage all tap dancers who do attend to bring your tap shoes and a wooden tap board and jam with the house band during the open jam session.

The jam usually takes place from 5-8 PM. The house band typically plays their house set for the first hour, and then other musicians are invited to join for the remaining two hours.

The next Jazz Night takes place one week from tomorrow, August 4. The next one after that will be on August 18. RSVP for Jazz Night at
