Welcome our good friend Sid Ringsby Official to the TNT family!

Our good friend Jorn Lande has recently announced that Sid Ringsby Official has left his band. TNT band & crew is very happy to welcome Sir Sidney back in our ranks. Sid joined TNT for the first time for the All the Way to the Sun album in 2005 and have been playing with TNT on various concerts over the years. By the end of this other-worldly experience I’m having with ‘s incredible, wonderful, amazing show that is somewhere between Twin Peaks and Cirque Du Soleil, I’ll find the right words to describe this beautiful ride.
So many wonderful artists Ella has gathered together from Norway and around the world. For now, I’ll just say that I’m having a blast! And it’s so much fun doing something beautiful and creative outside of TNT with my brother 🖤

More than 40 years after it all started we’re very happy to announce that 2023 will be an explosive year as brothers in rock Tony Harnell, Ronni LeTekrø and Diesel Dahl once again are gathering forces on stage. We are thrilled to also announce that our first show for next year is Tons of Rock Festival in Oslo, the weekend of June 22nd-25th. Tickets on sale Friday this week!

I just want to give a shout out to all the fans who’ve been coming to my shows and bringing all of my records, CD’s cassettes and videos. I don’t always have time to sign them all but I want you know how much I appreciate you. There are many releases that a lot of fans don’t know about. And some that are currently not available (that will be remedied eventually) and some of you have all of them and got them when they were originally released or found them later on eBay! You’re a special, rare breed of fan!
I’ve been at this for over 40 years and started releasing music in 1984. Since then I’ve recorded and released approximately 30 albums, numerous guest appearances and various singles. It really warms my heart when I see the dedication you show to my music and sometimes even going on a wild goose chase/treasure hunt to find it all.
So thank you for listening and researching and appreciating the music I’ve put out there.
I’ve taken a bit of a hiatus with releasing music the past couple of years but I have been writing quite a lot in spurts. One of these days soon I’ll get some new music out there for ya! In the meantime come see a show and say hi!🖤

38 years ago this little monster came out and changed my life.
The only thing I’ll add to this post is that there were also a lot of melody changes made to adjust to my voice and also I definitely would not call our follow up albums “glam” at all. “pop-metal” or “melodic hard rock/metal” are probably better descriptions imo:) either way…KOTNT was the launch pad!🤘🏻

FROM THE CRYPTS - CELEBRATING PAST ALBUM RELEASES in the HISTORY of HARD ROCK & HEAVY METAL…

In October 1984, TNT released their second full-length studio album “Knights of the New Thunder” in the US via Polygram Records.

It was the first TNT album recorded with their then-new vocalist Tony Harnell, who had replaced their original singer Dag Ingebrigtsen.

Background:
Most of the songs on the album had been written and recorded as demos while Ingebrigtsen was still in the band, but most of the lyrics were rewritten by Harnell. Two songs from TNT's self-titled first album, "USA" and "Eddie", were re-recorded and included on the album, though "Eddie" was an exclusive bonus track on the CD edition in Europe, and replaced "Tor with the Hammer" on U.S. editions. "Eddie" also came on the single American Tracks bundled with the LP in Europe.

Considered by some to be their last album playing traditional heavy metal, as their later releases would be likened to the glam metal style of the era, but Harnell states that the bands later sound would reflect that of melodic hard rock.

The album's original cover art featured an illustration of half-naked women and caused controversy in Norway. A new cover was made and used for the national and international editions, except for Japan where the album was released with its original cover.

Tom Petty was always one of those artists I liked a lot but didn’t completely give myself over to until the last decade or so. One day it just occurred to me that every time I heard one of his songs it made me happy.
One of the great songwriters of our time.
RIP Tom. 5 years today.🖤
