+ John Lomax III made history, yet again, and sang about it

+ David Hellams did one song he'll probably never do again!

+ Ian took requests, and permitted just a little sing along

+ James Brown Band gave an opus on corporate responsibility

+ Jojo played loose and fast, and he heard all about it too

+ William belted out that Broadway voice, NYC not Nashville

+ Ghettobilly Collective was creative and concise, and cool

+ Theory of Everything is a painter - and you are, and I am

+ Wonder Woman made one last visit to us before Michiganing

+ HIMBR paid an ode to a lost little boy, super bittersweet

+ Daniel carved a melody out of cedar, and then polished it

+ Janele knows what's good for her, and what's bad for her!

+ Anna made her Wednesday debut and gave us all butterflies

+ Beaux wants to rule the world but truly doesn't everybody

+ Harlow wants you to do what you should, and he'll be good

+ Kurt lay the blues on so thick, he spread it with a knife

+ Jon Lipshaw did a great new one, and then got us singing!

+ Brandon returned to the scene of the rhyme with a BNA jig

+ Endelle paid us a visit with her soulful R&B pop keyboard

+ Adam and backwards hat a rocked out on that acoustic gitbox

+ Peyton followed in them big footsteps of one John R. Cash

+ Hostile Animals stopped by, somehow we survived the visit

+ Lisa did bookend songs before and after being in love

+ Tony played a brand new tune and got everyone singing

+ William made his triumphant return back to Music City

+ Theory of Everything woodshedded a beautiful new tune

+ Kurt sang to the bittersweet young lady in the corner

+ Waytoven sent off a sonic beacon - out into the ether

+ Tyler practiced a duet (James Brown rested his voice)

+ Jon Barack Putin Hussein livestreamed a zinger on TikTok

+ Beaux looped the loop as loopily as he could loop it

+ Anna was like a more graceful and feminine Thom Yorke

+ Wonder redefined what a love song is and what it should be

+ Peyton was more precise than ever, on both vocals and guitar

+ Mean Dean blew our minds with a chromatic harmonica

+ Morgan sang a brand new one about one really bad dude

+ Sara gave her swansong! Michigan called and she answered!

+ Mad Mary obliterated one sorry S.O.B. from the past

+ Waytoven made a comeback with one more tune at the end

Somewhere in Manchester, in a pair of Man City Adidas slippers, Noel surely cracked a smile. 26 unique shades of brilliance crossed the Springwater stage as we welcomed our friends back from Canada to remind us there is great music wherever instruments and the willingness to tell the truth can be found.

+ The Lion GUEST HOSTED like a boss, and showed us just a glint of claw as he gave our benediction

+ Angelina brought Canadian sweetness

+ Sam brought Canadian smoothness

+ Jonathan who is not technically Canadian did not slouch in good company with some incredible vocals

+ Ryan brought Canadian sharpness

+ Ishana brought Canadian honesty

+ Justin is a true Canadian Cowboy

+ Atilio brought Canadian SASS

+ John Kontur brought us back to the U.S., ironically sending us to the gulag.

+ John Allingham went electric and posed as John Kountour

+ Theory Of Everything was brooding and excellent

+ Tyler and James (James Brown Band) did a great new one

+ Kurt also did a new one that may be his best yet, congrats on the radio play

+ Trey is just a great songwriter, period.

+ Daniel ALSO played a brilliant new one

+ Janele made all the Piggy Boys squeal

+ Anna soothed us back to a workable tempo

+ Wonder gave us some straight Les Paul based country gravel

+ David cordially invited us on a tour of our fine town

+ Waytoven was a sonic waterfall

+ Beaux’s kitchen sink included John AllinghamKountour on the drums

+ Jon Lipshaw took on The Man and won

+ Mean Dean kept the jokes going all night and KO’d us as he usually does.

+ Kolt hopefully beat someone at pool while he was patiently waiting to give us one of his standby bangers.

+ Bill closed us out with an injection of folk sanity, reminding us history repeats itself and we’ve all made it this far.

Dam, David! I never seen that kind of dam, where the water goes under it. Then again, we never seen a bunch of artists as unique as those at the Springwater, neither. This week everyone got 3 songs (if they wanted, some just did 2 by choice) and we had a nice mellow evening:

+ HIMBR Tribe gave us a sound bath from a little green drum

+ Karissa read a newly minted poem, circa THAT SAME DAY

+ Jake stopped in for a b**r, ended up singing for everyone

+ Jon Lipshaw kept it super fresh with new songs and mad solos

+ John Allingham did more with a Baby Taylor than we could

+ The Lion dug into the deep cuts for a song about friendship

+ Kurt called his neighbor out for her dirty lawn mowing

+ James Brown Band talks to angels, calls them out by name

+ Theory Of Everything did a new one, and also the hits

+ Mitchell proved all those years in seminary are paying off

+ Loose Bolts did a new one, too! And stroked some Strokes

+ Beaux had an "A-Ha" moment, and so we all had one, too

+ Mean Dean got everyone screaming "Tequila!" together

+ Russell just wants a good nut tonight! Truly cutting edge

+ Bill revisited his ode to Matthew Modine, Modiiine!

+ Instead of singing our weird host just gave stuff away

+ Kon The Tragic cheated one of our performers out of $0.25

+ Lisa played her singing bowls and we all meditated on it

+ David balanced a cat song with a dog song! Woof! Meow!

+ Kolt will be your Dixie Chicken if you'll be his TN Lamb

+ Trey just gets better & better, 2 originals, no filler

+ S. Flower collaborated with Lisa on two O. G. metal trax

+ John Allingham also included Lisa for an extra spacious set

+ Ghettobilly Collective set a new standard of psychedelia

+ Theory of Everything did not one but TWO brand new bangers

+ Jon Lipshaw did a new one, too! Incredible and live-streamed

+ John Kontur ALSO did a new one (hell yes Marlboro Man...)

+ Emily Alaska made her Wednesday debut and did Jolene cover #2

+ Beaux played w/ the 4th dimension and a Skeeter Davis tune!

+ Karissa struck up the band! Dolly was alive in her energy

+ Peyton and John Allingham collaborated on a jailbird anthem

+ Kristy did a dog song and dedicated it to Queen of Country

+ Mean Dean told not 1, not 2, but 3 jokes that were TOO SOON

+ Dorian evoked the mojo of the J. Geils' Band album, Sanctuary

+ Wonder Woman rocked a guitar! And a few poems from memory

+ Dr. Frank N' Furter paid tribute to Dolly and Matthew Modine

+ Your weird host got kicked off stage by Peyton? What? Why?

At the Springwater, you can find all of the above and then some. Some creating morning, some night. Some recreating, some undoing a previous work. And some may never be fully understood by anyone outside the fever dream:

+ John Lomax III sang Long Summer Day, brought his cow bell, and it was his Birthday Eve! Happy Birthday (8/20)

+ John Kontur proved yet again he is the perennial bloom, the recurring dream, the circling sky

+ Jon Lipshaw gave us a "forgone conclusion" and some "dissolution and confusion" as well

+ John Allingham hollered, harmonica’d, and did very some fancy hand-beats on a sweet little guitbox

+ Kurt was blues done right. 3 songs, all with his awesomely unique low key point of view

+ Waytoven played an extra special moving version of his original track, the “Black Jubilation”

+ Irish guest hosted, and jumped in with a couple of family songs plus one of her own (Teen Angel, Dream On, Beach on Cabo)

+ T.o.E. started with a new one! Then sang about being “high with the angels” in Baton Rouge

+ Warren sounded every bit as distinctive as always, from his melody to his lyric

+ Bobby (AKA the best of the worst) skipped the instrumental s**t, and brought his “monkey down”

+ Peyton rocked a pygme outlaw beat, then a rag about a “hoosegow” (for those not familiar...that’s a jail)

+ and freaking Tim Jones snuck in to accompany Peyton on harmonica!!! Holy smokes

+ Mean Dean sang 3 with his uke and kazoo, swinging it left, swinging it right, doing the bugaboo

+ Beaux rocked his triple-pedal wahtchamacalit! Lyrics all present tense “you don’t have to make up your mind right now”

+ and yet again, sneak attack by Tim Jones on harp; fantastic turn of events

+ Mick stormed the stage to "make his guitar famous" with the confidence that only comes from experience

+ Jon vs. 'The Man' went two rounds and he bested the best

+ Rob smoothly finger-picked his way into all of our hearts

+ Kurt walked that thin line between blues and not blues

+ Ross diversified his portfolio with a cool groove in Am

+ S. Flower resurrected two turn-of-the-century anthems

+ Ghettobilly Collective turned up the fire under our asses

+ Theory of Everything caught you talking! And you! And...

+ John Kontur did one for the fans, and one for the label

+ Anna debuted and must be Scottish, because she kilt it

+ Karissa is giving away school supplies! And we need them

+ Mean Dean cries, every night, since you said goodbye 😭

+ Kolt delivered two gorgeous originals with panache

+ Beaux played with space, time, pitch, and pedals

+ John Kontur II looks so much like JKI it was uncanny!

+ Nick stopped by and was singing 20 minutes after parking

+ Elmer Gantry Fudd kept it radical, raucous, and real

+ Beaux II gave Nirvana a run for their money - jazz style

+ John Allingham literally beat the drum for avant garde

+ Jon Lipshaw II is sick of your ego trip! Sick of it!

+ Our host may have redeemed himself with a Secret Song

+ Shteevin gave us two improv performances to close the night
