Hello everyone,

This is a reminder to register for our upcoming session on building meaningful sponsorships for performing arts organizations, without needing a large venue, a dedicated fundraising team, or major corporate partners.

We’ll explore a practical micro-sponsorship model designed for community theaters, performing arts centers, music venues, festivals, and other arts organizations. Participants will learn how to create affordable sponsorship opportunities, identify prospective local business partners, conduct effective outreach, and build long-term, mutually beneficial relationships.

Attendees will leave with practical ideas they can begin implementing immediately, regardless of their organization’s size or previous sponsorship experience.

Excited to welcome John Harris to TN Presenters on July 13.

John spent 35 years in engineering leadership at UPS before founding Spotlight Sponsors, a consultancy dedicated to helping performing arts organizations build practical, repeatable sponsorship programs. His approach is refreshingly grounded: no chasing unicorns, no dependency on a big development team, no jargon.

Just a working system for creating partnerships that make sense for both your organization and the local businesses in your community.

His session, "Micro-Sponsorships Made Simple," is designed for community theaters, festivals, music venues, and small-to-mid-sized arts organizations.

If that describes you or your team, this is a session worth clearing an hour for.

Using AI for Everyday Operations: Graphics, Branding, Booking & Routing

Presenters and agents alike are expected to promote events, manage bookings, and coordinate logistics, often with limited staff time and increasing demands for consistency and responsiveness. This session explores how AI can support both the front-facing work of promotion and the behind-the-scenes operations that keep programs moving.

Participants will learn how AI tools can streamline everyday promotional tasks, such as creating simple graphics, drafting social media content, repurposing messaging across platforms, and building realistic content calendars.

The session will also demonstrate how AI can support routing, booking, and outreach workflows through the use of automation and AI agents, helping organizations make faster decisions and reduce administrative burden.

Through live demos and real-world examples, our experts will show how AI can connect marketing, scheduling, and booking into more cohesive systems. The focus is on practical, scalable workflows for small teams, emphasizing that AI should enhance human judgment, maintain brand integrity, and support more strategic use of staff time.

Participants will leave with a clearer understanding of how to use AI not just to create content, but to improve coordination, increase efficiency, and build more sustainable operational practices.

Filling every seat isn’t luck. It’s strategy.

This Monday, we were grateful to host Morgana Nieves, MBA for the first session in our 2026 professional development series. She explored practical promotion strategies that move beyond “post and pray” marketing. The strongest campaigns are intentional, relationship-driven, and rooted in audience insight, not just aesthetics.

Key reminders:
✨ Start with your existing audience (building personas)
✨ Build momentum early (urgency beats last-minute scrambling).
✨ Equip your partners and board with ready-to-share language.
✨ Track what converts, not just what gets likes.

When promotion aligns with mission and messaging, attendance follows.

If your events aren’t filling, it’s not a capacity issue; it’s a clarity and distribution issue. And both are solvable.
