Attention My Fellow Musicians: Sadly, a room rental shortage will be coming our way very soon, if Nashville Metro Codes Department continues to follow on this path. Which means more homelessness in Music City for unsubstantiated or low income musicians, students or anyone unable to procure single dwelling housing.

In Nashville. To home owners or lease holders, if you are renting out a room in your house or apartment to someone without first securing a “Boarding House” permit. Nashville codes department will be violating you. Even if the term is for 30 days or more (not short term). Says Metro Codes.

Are the hotel lobbyists applying pressure on city officials to target the local housing hosts? Your opinions matter

Marshall Latimer fundraiser. Co-Founder of “The Rock Scene Nashville.” RIP - Monday July 29th at 6pm CST. at The Texas Troubadour.

Marshall cared tremendously for the original music creators of Nashville, more than anything else in life. That is, other than his family and close friends. His passion and commitment for organizing live music events was insatiable.

A quote from Marshall regarding his involvement in rock concert productions. “I’ve never once made a significant profit at all, and 9 times out of 10, I went into debt over it.” He would follow up with … “I do it because someone has to do it, and since I can, I feel obligated to be that person to do it.”

To all participants.

God bless all of you for your “giving back” to a man who once helped you along your journey. And to the people who helped him on his journey to eventually help you.
