If you have not heard of The Devils, here is what you need to know.

Ken Russell’s 1971 film is set in 17th century France and follows a Catholic priest accused of witchcraft amid a backdrop of religious hysteria, political corruption, and mass hysteria. It was banned in multiple countries upon release, pulled from distribution for decades, and is widely considered one of the most daring and visually overwhelming films ever committed to celluloid.
It is also an extraordinary piece of cinema that deserves to be seen on the biggest screen possible.

October 21st. Lagoon Cinema. Meet us at Mari’s Watch Bar at 5PM for a free pre-movie drink first. 🍹🍿

🎟️ Tickets are live at uptownmovieclub.com
