Join us September 26, 2026 in Jackson for our beloved Literary Lawn Party! Each year, we unite readers and authors in an exciting celebration of books!

We’re turning the page at North Pike Elementary School! 📚🎃👻

Our Turn the Page program recently welcomed author Robyn J. Wall to spend time with first-grade students and share her book, Candi the Candycorn. 🍬📖 From meeting an author to discovering a new story, experiences like these help young readers see just how exciting books can be.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to bring authors and stories directly into Mississippi classrooms and inspire the next generation of readers. 💛🧡

Our volunteers know a thing or two about good books. 📚💛

We asked some of our amazing Mississippi Book Festival volunteers what they’re reading right now, and their answers gave us plenty of ideas for our own TBR lists!

The Mississippi Book Festival continues beyond the lawn! 📚 Tune in to C-SPAN Book TV this Sunday, October 25, to watch recordings of six panels from this year’s festival, covering everything from the lives of writers to Mississippi history and politics.

Some books just feel like October. 🍂📚

Every number tells a story, and none of these numbers would be possible without the incredible funders who believe in the Mississippi Book Festival.

Because of our funders’ support, thousands of readers came together to celebrate books, ideas, creativity, and community. Their generosity helped us welcome extraordinary authors to Mississippi, put books into the hands of young readers, and, most importantly, keep the Mississippi Book Festival free and open to all.

We’re proud of what we accomplished together in 2026, and endlessly grateful for the funders who helped make it all possible.

These may look like ordinary numbers, but behind every one is a community that believes Mississippi deserves an extraordinary literary celebration, and that all Mississippians should have a place in it.
