‼️TRAFFIC ADVISORY 📍 FRIDAY, OCTOBER 30‼️
The Daytona Beach Police Department is advising residents and visitors to prepare for significant traffic impacts throughout the city on Friday, October 30, due to a scheduled dignitary visit.
đź“Ť ATLANTIC AVENUE: Completely closed between OAK RIDGE BOULEVARD and MAIN STREET from 5 PM to 9 PM. NO VEHICLE TRAFFIC WILL BE PERMITTED through this area. Anyone needing to access the immediate area must park outside the roadblock and walk to their destination.
đź“Ť EARL STREET: Completely closed to vehicle traffic beginning at 8 AM. No vehicles will be permitted to access this street. Anyone needing to reach a destination along this street must do so on foot.
đź“Ť PENINSULA DRIVE: Closed between MAIN STREET and ORA STREET beginning at 4 PM. Motorists should plan to use alternate routes and expect delays in the surrounding area.
Additional temporary road closures will occur along the designated travel route. The specific route will not be disclosed. Affected areas will be completely closed to traffic to allow the dignitary to travel through and will reopen shortly afterward.
Residents and visitors should expect INCREASED TRAFFIC BEGINNING AS EARLY AS 7 AM and plan accordingly.
Multiple law enforcement agencies from surrounding jurisdictions will assist the Daytona Beach Police Department with traffic management and public safety operations.
