Before she passed, Mary set a provision for her three lifelong friends to do the things she wanted to do and put off. She urges them to live life and when the time comes, to exit laughing.

Meet the Cast of Exit Laughing
Marcus Roberts (Bobby)
When Marcus is given a small role named Bobby by his Director, he is unaware of the carnage he is about to encounter. There is a huge responsibility in looking after Bobby as there are certain rules which must be followed. This role must be kept away from bright light, never made wet and never, ever be fed after midnight. When an accident occurs involving Bobby and water, the next evolution stage of the role appears, and it isn't nice at all.

Kathy Thompson (Millie)
With the renovation complete, Kathy returns to her passion for performing after a 7-year hiatus. She was last seen in a very successful Savannah Sipping Society and hopes you will love this show as much as she does. She is very grateful to Noel Bethea and her cast mates who have made this show such fun.

Lea Hicks (Leona)
Exit Laughing marks Lea’s Daytona Playhouse debut. A 20 year community theatre veteran in the Chattanooga, TN area, Lea feels like she’s “coming home” being back on the stage. Her previous favorite roles include M’Lynn in Steel Magnolias, Sugar Lee in The Hallelujah Girls, Carol in Laughter on the 23rd Floor and Ophelia in Hamlet. When not in rehearsal, Lea can be found enjoying retirement at the beach with her husband Butch. She is thankful for the support of family & friends and so grateful to be a part of this amazing cast & crew!

Sue Pope (Connie)
This show marks Sue’s 40th anniversary at the Daytona Playhouse. Jan. 18, 1985 Sue had her first performance in My Three Angels and that cemented her love of theatre! Through the years she has performed around the state wherever life took her. Some memorable roles include Maggie in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Nurse Ratched in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Auntie Mame, and Daisy in Driving Miss Daisy. She was last seen on this stage in A Bench In The Shade. When not acting you might catch her singing with the Sweet Adelines or playing with her six month old puppy, Charlie! She thanks everyone who has made this production such a joy to be part of!
