Camp Street welcomed a very special group to Crockett this week!

On Thursday, October 15, Werner Michels with American Music Tours brought a group of 22 German tourists and blues fans to town as part of their pilgrimage through the region.

The group stopped for photos at the Lightnin’ Hopkins statue, then spent time with Pipp Gillette, who performed and shared some of the history of Crockett’s blues scene.

Crockett has become a regular stop on the group’s tour, and they were especially excited to hear about the possibility of returning for the Camp Street Blues Festival next spring.

We love seeing visitors from across the world make Crockett part of their journey — and even more, seeing our local music history continue to draw people here.

We’ve got a full weekend coming up at Camp Street with two nights of great music!

Join us Friday, October 23 for Scott Sean White, then come back Sunday, October 25 for a special joint show with Ben Gage and Zach Aaron.

Each show is $22.00/person.

Friday’s show starts at 7:00, and Sunday’s show a little earlier at 6:00 p.m.
