8 more days until River Front Fest 2026 with The Blooze Brothers on Saturday May 30th, from 5:30-7:30pm! This high-powered, choreographed 12-piece show band covers Motown, R&B, soul, current favorites, and of course, the music and crazy antics of the famous original Blues Brothers.

Got a case of the Mondays? Well we have just the cure for that: plan to come see us this Saturday (May 23rd) at The Forge: Lemont Quarries for Blues, Brews, and BBQ Fest. This is one stacked lineup - "Big Dog" Mercer, Gerry Hundt Trio, and Brother John Kattke and his band will all be there, with yours truly closing it out from 4:30-6:30pm. There's going to be some great food and fabulous beverages as well so come out and have some fun!

May 11. 5-11. Two prime numbers. Very fitting for a bass player that's in the prime of his craft. Today we celebrate that bass player - Jay Olaszek - on his birthday. He's always there to lay down the harmonic foundation for the band, contribute a dizzying mix of vocal harmonies, and help us solve annoying chemical equations and understand what the heck stoichiometry even is.

Join us wishing Jay a very happy birthday! We love you Jay!

It's still January, it's still getting colder, but it's getting hot in here because we are celebrating our saxophonist extraordnaire, the incomparable SOUTHSIDE JIMMY METZ!!! Get out the expensive craft beers (save the cheap stuff for the rhythm section), fire up only the funkiest of jams, and toast the baddest bari man in the business. WE LOVE YOU JIMMY!!!!!!!!!!
