Sarah Fahmy, PhD (she/her) is an Assistant Professor of Theatre at Florida State University. A scholar-artist, her research intersects Arab and North African decoloniality, ecofeminism, and performance ethnography. Her publications appear in journals ranging from Theatre Topics to PloS One to Environmental Communication, and edited collections, and she is a National Theatre Project 2026 awardee. Sarah’s forthcoming book explores decolonial play and feminist artivism in Egypt. She is also a founding member of the Middle Eastern Theatre group at the Association for Theatre in Higher Education and on the Executive Board of the American Society for Theatre Research.
