This Matariki, come make, remember, and connect through mahi toi and contemporary creative practice with Whare Hau Tutū.

He Wānanga Toi o Matariki is a series of adult creative wānanga at Whare Hau Tutū, created for people who want to engage with Matariki through making, memory, whenua, story, and aspiration.

Across the series, we’ll explore journals, kōwhaiwhai, muka, zines, tukutuku, and natural pigments, each kaupapa standing on its own, while also connecting to the wider Matariki journey of remembering, reflecting, reconnecting, reimagining, and releasing forward.

These are not sit-and-watch sessions. These are hands-in, heart-open, come-as-you-are creative spaces.
