Provide your idea, placement and size in inches also include any reference pictures and the preference of artist. You have a 48 hour window to move your appointment with your fee - anything within that 48 hours the fee will not move to a new appointment. This includes covid related cancellations.

I’ve been fascinated by ancient Egypt since I was a small child, a fascination that’s stayed with me throughout my life, including my most recent visit to Egypt last year.

But I don’t need to see the bodies of the dead to appreciate or learn about its history.

I don’t consider removing human remains from display to be “woke nonsense”. We’re not talking about a painting, a sculpture or an artefact. We’re talking about a human being, someone who lived, died and was laid to rest according to their own beliefs.

There are countless ways to educate children and adults about ancient Egypt without displaying the dead.

And while we’re discussing education, perhaps we should also be discussing how so many Egyptian antiquities and human remains ended up in British museums. Colonialism, looting and questionable acquisitions are part of history too.

Before expressing outrage, I’d also be curious to know when you last visited Kelvingrove.

You can respect the dead without erasing history.

And as the old joke goes, the only reason the pyramids aren’t in the British Museum is because they couldn’t lift them.
