A message from Yasuaki Shimizu 💜 The legendary artist performs in Finland for the first time: Tavastia, Helsinki, Sunday 8.11. Tickets: tiketti.fi

Yasuaki wanted to mention that the song he sings in the second half of the video message is called "Yuki no Furu Machi wo" (roughly translated as "Snowy Town"). It's featured at the end of Aki Kaurismäki's film La Vie de Bohème.

Monday 26.10. marks the first time the legendary Beverly Glenn-Copeland performs in Helsinki. Join us at Valkoinen sali, doors 18.00, showtime 19.00, tickets via tiketti.fi 🩷💜🩵💛🧡

"I have a strong feeling that you either completely love the music of Beverly Glenn-Copeland, or you simply haven’t been introduced to it yet."
– Angie Fay, Ransom Note

“He radiates life and happiness.”
- Cath Clarke, The Guardian

"Koska olen syvään alakuloon, kyynisyyteen ja apatiaan taipuvainen ihminen, olen huomannut Glenn-Copelandin taiteen avaavan itsessäni tuntemuksia, joita en ole aikoihin oikein edes osannut muistaa."
– Mikael Mattila, Kulttuuritoimitus

"Elämässä missaa joskus tärkeitä asioita. Niin kuin esimerkiksi artistin, joka on jäänyt itseltä huomaamatta ja jonka kuuleminen iskee heti tajuntaan. Maanantaina Helsingissä esiintyvä Beverly Glenn-Copeland on tällainen ilahduttava löytö vasta yli 50 vuotta jatkuneen uran lopulla. Uskon, että Valkoisen salin kauniissa puitteissa koetaan jotain koskettavaa, jotain mikä elää muistoissa vielä pitkään."
– Janne Tarmio

OUT NOW: Jonah Parzen-Johnson & Lau Nau "A Few We Remember + Live In Italy" 2CD/digital (We Jazz Records). Order at wejazzrecords.bandcamp.com or visit your favourite music shop.

Jonah Parzen-Johnson & Lau Nau return with a double CD edition on We Jazz Records bringing together their 2025 debut duo release A Few We Remember first time on CD, plus a live recording from the album release tour recorded in Bolzano, Italy, in April 2026.

In April of 2026, Lau Nau (Laura Naukkarinen) and Jonah Parzen-Johnson crossed into Italy separately and made their way by train to meet in Bolzano for their first tour together. There was a bit of the energy of the first day of school. Nervous. When they arrived, they realized they had matching luggage. Two little samsonites, a modular synth, and a baritone saxophone.

When does a memory become a story? Perhaps it's when the person you shared it with turns around and shares it back. In that moment, it becomes something a little fantastical. Amplified. Alive. A story can live in the world in a way a memory never could. From the moment they began the first concert of the tour, with all the anxiety and excitement of a first day, you could feel the memory of the album coming to life. Eight living characters they could summon, intact, each night.

*ANNOUNCING* divr: Léman 27.11. (We Jazz Records LP/CD/digi). Info & preorder: wejazzrecords.bandcamp.com

divr live / release shows:

23.11. Unerhört Festival, Zürich (CH)
2.12. Väreet Festival, G Livelab Helsinki (FI)

The Swiss trio divr deliver a powerful live document, combining two recordings edited as side-long pieces on vinyl, also released on CD and digitally. The trio of Philipp Eden (piano, electronics), Raphael Walser (bass, effects) and Jonas Ruther (drums) released their debut album, Is This Water, with We Jazz in 2024 to great acclaim. On their new live album Léman, released by We Jazz Records on 27th November, divr show what they do best on stage: building a strong musical flow through repetition, interaction and gradually shifting textures, creating a compelling musical narrative that pulls the listener in deep. Recorded in 2023 at Cully Jazz Festival and in 2025 in Live in Vevey, the album brings together two recordings from different points in the trio's development, both made on the shores of Lac Léman.

The completely acoustic Cully Jazz recording appeared in digital form in late 2025, with music fans requesting a physical release — a wish that is now fulfilled and expanded with the newer Vevey recording on its other side. The previously unreleased Vevey recording, captured during a four-night residency in 2025, offers a more recent view of divr’s more produced live sound.
