🎻 Réflexions // Quintuor à cordes de Brice Soniano 🎻

Concert unique le 18 Août à 16H à la Chapelle Saint Fiacre au FAOUËT, les portes ouvriront à partir de 15H45.

C’est devant une toile de la peintre danoise Anne-Grethe Kousgaard, consacrée à la fonte des glaces, que Brice Soniano a trouvé le souffle initial de son œuvre « Réflexions ».
De cette rencontre entre peinture et musique est née une partition singulière, où l’écriture pour quintuor à cordes fait dialoguer des compositions classiques avec des espaces d’improvisation. Et les lignes géométriques du tableau, leurs symétries, leurs ruptures, leurs reflets, deviennent une manière d’organiser le temps musical. Ainsi se construit« Réflexions », avec des musiciens qui cheminent comme on progresse sur une banquise, avec une trajectoire, mais sans jamais ignorer les césures possibles.

The Land // The Sound is conceived as a continuous, immersive journey through music, landscape
and community. Rather than following a tightly scheduled timetable, the festival unfolds organically
as concerts, walks, shared meals and conversations flow into one another ✨

To preserve this sense of

Ambient & Tea is a pop-up tea event created by artist Dalin Waldo, blending the meditative essence of tea with the immersive world of electronic music. 🌿 The Land // The Sound presents: Toma Gouband

Toma Gouband is a pioneering French drummer, musician, improviser, and researcher. He is renowned for his innovative work with natural materials, particularly stones, flints, and branches alongside traditional drums, all shaped by algorithmic graphs and generative polyrhythms.

Rather than adhering to conventional rhythms, Gouband’s music is free improvisation that creates complex, layered polyrhythms and textures. These sonic landscapes can emulate natural phenomena, offering a meditative and immersive experience.

The Land // The Sound is not a traditional music festival. It is a 24-hour musical and site-specific experience in the landscape. An invitation to step away from noise, listen to other sounds, and reconnect with yourself, the people around you, and the raw beauty of the Mols Bjerge National Park.

Held near one of the small villages in the National Park, this event creates a holistic journey where music, landscape, and community merge.

A Journey Through the Landscape: The festival is designed as a sequence of small, intimate concerts and activities. You will walk through the landscape—From the scout camp Toggerbo Spejdercenter to Earthwise Residency, and on to gems in the national park as well as private land normally not accessible, to a final concert at Vistoft Church.

Experimental & Contemporary Music: We present an ambitious program featuring renowned Danish and international artists. Expect to hear everything from improvisational and contemporary music to ambient and West-African music.

Peter Tinning is a Danish guitarist, composer, and sound artist. His work spans jazz, contemporary music, and interdisciplinary performance, with a particular interest in the relationship between improvisation and strict composition. He performs and records with a wide range of ensembles and artists and frequently composes music for collaborative projects.
