Some clips from the last rehearsal of this year’s grad dance. So thankful to the Lord for all the things he has done in each of our students lives!

As dance teachers, not only do we get to see dancers grow over the course of the school year, but throughout their entire dance journey spanning multiple years. The privilege of getting to mentor students in such a deep way is not lost on us, and it’s in moments like this that we’re reminded that what we do here at the studio matters. 💙

Grad Spotlight: Madison 💙

It has been a joy to be a part of this lovely dancer’s journey! Madison started off as a little one in our junior program at Arise, going on to dance in our pre-professional program, and eventually joining the teen program. We have been so blessed to have her as a core member of our Arise teen class community over the years. ☺️

Congratulations Madison! We’re cheering you on as you step into a new chapter in your life!

Grad Spotlight: Evelyn 💙

Congratulations to this hard-working and gorgeous dancer! Evelyn joined the Arise family the year the pandemic hit, but despite her first recital being virtual (anybody remember filming their parts at home? 🫠) and the second one being filmed in a parking lot 😆, she persevered and continued with dance, growing so much over the past several years. A wonderful dancer with powerful movement quality and expression, Evelyn went on to dance with the Youth Ballet for two seasons, and just this spring completed her Royal Academy of Dance Advanced 1 ballet exam.

Evelyn, we are so proud of you and the beautiful young woman of God you have become!

And just like that, recital weekend is over! Two packed out shows, amazing dancing, students inspired, grad speeches given, all for the glory of God. 💙

“At the end of every recital, it’s time for final bows. We stand feet together, lower our heads with hands over hearts, and accept the praise and glory that performers receive for demonstrating excellence in their craft. But this curtain call does not end there, because as followers of Jesus, each of us know this: I did not make myself. I did not create my own body or put the breath in my lungs. I did not form my own bones, muscle, sinews, or write the code that would determine these traits and more. My talents were given to me. The ability to work was given to me. Everything I may accomplish in life comes back to this - God made me, and is the originator of all that I have and all that I do. I did not make myself. And so we straighten our shoulders, raise our eyes, and reach up from our hearts toward heaven with an open hand that gives all the glory, all the praise, all the effort, to Him who is worthy.”

Thank you so much to every parent and volunteer and audience member. Your support means so much to us as a small Christian business, working to fulfill our mission statement, “Excellence in dance training for the glory of God.”

On Wednesday we had our annual pre-recital rehearsal with all the pre-professional levels at the studio. The most packed one we've had yet, with all five vocational levels represented along with our grade 4s and 5s! So exciting to watch how God is growing Arise. 🙏💙🙌
