Come Sing With Us!

We are a value driven, inclusive group of upper voices (soprano & alto) singers who share a passion for excellence and building community. Under the direction of Christopher Ducasse 🇭🇹🎼🎹🧑🏿‍🎤🎻📷 we have become the leading upper voice ensemble in the region. For info about us: www.hypatiasvoice.ca.

We rehearse on Tuesday evenings @ St Matthew’s in the Glebe.

Auditions will be held on Tuesday evening, September 1 @ St Matthew’s in the Glebe. (If necessary, some auditions may be on Sept 8).

Singers should prepare a short song or excerpt to be sung unaccompanied, and expect a range exercise as well as some basic sight reading.

Thank you for your support of Hypatia’s Voice during our 10th Anniversary Season. We are grateful for your commitment to what has grown into Ottawa’s leading adult upper-voice ensemble.
Because of you, we can perform extraordinary works—like Kim André Arnesen’s Magnificat with orchestra—while keeping our concerts accessible to everyone, including valued community partners like Orkidstra and Matthew House. Together, we are making a real difference through music.

Hypatia’s Voice is seeking a skilled, enthusiastic pianist to join us for our upcoming season. We are looking for an artistic partner who is passionate about choral music and eager to contribute to the development of our sound and our ensemble’s vision.
