The final BistroFest of the 2026 season is this Saturday ❤️

Sept 5 at the Hog's Back Grill & Bistro, we’re closing the year with a beautiful folk lineup:

This first season has been a lot of work, a lot of weather stress, a lot of learning, and so many beautiful evenings of local music, families, friends, artists, neighbours, and people discovering bands they didn’t know were right here around them!

That’s why we started BistroFest.

To bring Ottawa and Gatineau together like big villages. To create a local family reunion around music. To give artists a place to be heard, and give people an easy way to find them.

No doubt, we'll fulfill our mission more and more as the years go and we build up the project :)

BistroFest Westboro Edition // August 6

We’re bringing BistroFest to Westboro for a free evening of folk-rock, indie singer-songwriter, and rock’n’roll!

Joey Vinegar, Gabriel Comba, and Jordy Jeppesen will be playing Thursday, August 6, from 6 PM to 9 PM, in the Churchill Senior Recreation Centre parking lot.

BistroFest is an initiative by the nonprofit Ottawa Park Arts. We created it to bring people from Ottawa and Gatineau together, help local artists be discovered by the people around them, and create a big local family reunion where people can meet, hang out, and enjoy live music.

Ce vendredi 24 juillet à Place Laval ❤️

On était vraiment tristes de devoir annuler notre dernier show à Place Laval à cause de la météo, mais les choses regardent bien pour ce vendredi!

Queçéssa, JOLY et Siobhan Bodrug seront avec nous de 18 h à 21 h pour une soirée gratuite de rock, folk-rock et indie-pop.

BistroFest, c’est une initiative de l’OBNL Ottawa Park Arts. On voit Ottawa et Gatineau un peu comme de grands villages, pleins de gens talentueux, de familles, de voisins, d’artistes, de petites communautés qui se croisent sans toujours se rencontrer.

Le but, c’est de créer une grande réunion familiale locale. Un endroit simple pour se retrouver dehors, rencontrer du monde, passer du bon temps ensemble, et découvrir les artistes qui font vivre la musique autour de nous.

We were really sad to cancel our last Place Laval show because of the weather, but things are looking good for this Friday!

Queçéssa, JOLY, and Siobhan Bodrug will be with us from 6 PM to 9 PM for a free evening of rock, folk-rock, and indie-pop.

BistroFest is an initiative by the nonprofit Ottawa Park Arts. We see Ottawa and Gatineau a bit like big villages, full of talented people, families, neighbours, artists, and small communities that cross paths without always really meeting.

The goal is to create a big local family reunion. A simple place to gather outside, meet people, have a good time together, and discover the artists making music right here around us.

ANNULÉ – BistroFest du 18 juillet à Place Laval

Après avoir suivi la météo et parlé aux groupes, bénévoles et à l’équipe, on doit malheureusement annuler le BistroFest du 18 juillet à Place Laval. Le risque est trop élevé pour un événement extérieur avec sonorisation, artistes, bénévoles et public.

On est tristes, mais c’est la décision responsable. On va revenir avec quelque chose pour Noise Hotel, Out by Lucy et Austin Camp. Ce n’est que partie remise.

BistroFest est organisé par Ottawa Park Arts, un organisme à but non lucratif que nous avons créé pour rapprocher les gens de la région de l'Outaouais avec leur scène locale dans un cadre amusant et accessible. Les dons et ventes de merch sont essentiels à la survie de notre première année, et on est extrêmement reconnaissants du soutien reçu jusqu’ici.

La suite arrive vite, le prochain 24 juillet à Place Laval!

CANCELLED – July 18 BistroFest at Place Laval

After monitoring the weather and speaking with the bands, volunteers and team, we unfortunately have to cancel the July 18 BistroFest at Place Laval. The risk is too high for an outdoor event with sound equipment, artists, volunteers and an audience.

We’re sad, but this is the responsible call. We’ll get back to you with something for Noise Hotel, Out by Lucy and Austin Camp. This is only a rain check.

BistroFest is ran by Ottawa Park Arts, a nonprofit we built to connect people from the Ottawa region with their local scene in a fun and accessible way. Donations and merch sales are crucial to surviving our first year, and we’re extremely grateful for the support so far.

What's next is coming real soon, July 24 at Place Laval!

Le 24 juillet, BistroFest retourne à Place Laval, à Hull, pour une soirée gratuite de rock, folk-rock et indie-pop!

Le groupe québécois Queçéssa fusionne rock sale, blues, plaisir et prestations énergiques pour faire redécouvrir une musique humaine, brute et pleine de feeling. À découvrir si vous aimez le vieux rock, le blues et les shows qui brassent!

JOLY (2e photo)

Auteur-compositeur-interprète et producteur franco-ontarien, JOLY fusionne folk et rock avec des textes empreints d’émotion. Son spectacle oscille entre folk, rock, grunge et emo, dans une performance à la fois intime et percutante.

Siobhan Bodrug (1re photo)

Siobhan Bodrug est une artiste indie-pop canadienne au son rétro-moderne, entre la vulnérabilité de Billie Eilish et l’intensité d’Alanis Morissette. Elle a joué au Winnipeg Folk Festival, à Summerfolk et au Rockwood Music Hall à New York.

On July 24, BistroFest returns to Place Laval in Hull for a free evening of rock, folk-rock, and indie-pop!

Queçéssa (3rd pic)

Queçéssa is a Quebec rock band blending dirty rock, blues, fun, and high-energy performances to bring back raw, human music with real feeling. A band to discover if you love old-school rock, blues, and shows with serious energy!

JOLY (2nd pic)

A Franco-Ontarian singer-songwriter and producer, JOLY blends folk and rock with emotionally driven lyrics. His live show moves between folk, rock, grunge, and emo, feeling both intimate and powerful.

Siobhan Bodrug (1st pic)

Siobhan Bodrug is a Canadian indie-pop artist whose retro-modern sound evokes the vulnerability of Billie Eilish and the intensity of Alanis Morissette. She has performed at Winnipeg Folk Festival, Summerfolk, and Rockwood Music Hall in New York.

June 20 BistroFest CANCELLED because of thunderstorm risk ⛈️

After reviewing the forecast this morning, we’ve made the call to cancel the June 20 BistroFest concert.

Thank you to all of you who support BistroFest. We’re building this one step at a time, and your donations help us keep creating free, accessible shows where local artists can play and where Ottawa-Gatineau can discover its music scene.

Our next event is July 4 at Hog’s Back Grill & Bistro, with a dance/electronic music night.

Until then, enjoy the summer, support local artists, and check out BistroFest merch on our website.

BistroFest du 20 juin ANNULÉ à cause des risques d’orages ⛈️

Après avoir regardé la météo ce matin, nous avons pris la décision d’annuler le concert BistroFest du 20 juin.

Nous ne pouvons pas non plus déplacer cette programmation à la semaine prochaine, donc l’événement est officiellement annulé.

Merci à tout le monde qui soutient BistroFest. On construit ça une étape à la fois, et vos dons nous aident à créer plus de spectacles gratuits et accessibles pour faire découvrir la scène locale d’Ottawa-Gatineau.

Notre prochain événement aura lieu le 4 juillet au Hog’s Back Grill & Bistro, avec une soirée dance/électronique.
