The Jack Purcell Recreation Association is a not-for-profit, incorporated organization that offers programs at the community centre in partnership with the Jack Purcell Community Centre (JPCC). Our mandate is to deliver recreational programs and leisure activities for adults, youth and children living in Centretown. The Jack Purcell Community Centre is owned and operated by the City of Ottawa and
delivers programming to adults and children with special needs, as well as programs for seniors . The centre has an 18-meter warm-water pool, which offers regular aquatic programming and programs for individuals with special needs. All pool and weight room inquiries must be directed to the City of Ottawa by calling 613-564-1050. The centre also has a fully accessible weight room, five meeting rooms of various sizes, which are available for rental, and access to the Elgin Street Public School gym. Luke’s Parks, as well as the tennis courts at both parks, and manages the community garden at the centre.
