💁 This week’s model: Bruce was born in Ottawa, but has lived in many other places since. His interests led him to study photography and, later, history at university. Over the years, Bruce has worked in a variety of fields including publishing, museums, photography, historic sites, and, lastly, the archives at Carleton. He has just recently started working as a life model here in Ottawa.

💁 This week’s model: Jorge is a professional life model in the Ottawa area who works for academic institutions as well as for private groups. Jorge likes to express himself with dramatic and dynamic poses, which he learned many years ago through figure photography.

💁 This week’s model: Koston Kreme is an Ottawa-based burlesque performer, producer, and costume maker who has performed across North America. She began life modelling through Dr Sketchy’s in 2010 and is now a regular at Algonquin College and other local drawing events.

💁 This week’s model: Janine has worked as a life drawing model in and around the Ottawa area for the past 20 years. She loves the physical challenges that come with modeling and the particular vibe that emanates from a room full of hard working creatives. She is currently teaching life drawing at Algonquin College in the Drawing Foundations and Animation programs. Drawing by Gillian Reid-Timms.

💁 This week’s model: Melissa is a q***r bridge builder, community connector and mom of three consciously making space for spontaneous “yeses” like last minute invitations to life model on a random Wednesday evening. Being from a mixed family with strong Anishinabe roots, she believes that connection to physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health are key to living a good life.
