Thanks to everyone in the community who tried out and who applied to be part of the production. We're looking forward to sharing scary campfire stories with you starting Saturday, October 3rd!

Your Oscar-winning moment could arrive at any time. Will you deliver a stirring, unforgettable monologue—or a piping-hot bowl of unseasoned word soup?

On August 8, Velvet Wells is teaching Oscar-Winning Moment, a two-hour workshop devoted to finding depth, passion and surprising connections in one of short-form’s most gloriously dramatic games.

You’ll break down the game’s structure, explore a variation or two, and get plenty of reps—with mechanics, hard-won insights and practical tips from a director who genuinely loves the game.

No previous Oscar-Winning Moment experience is required, but participants should have some experience playing short-form in classes, jams or shows.

Wayward is proud to announce our 2026/2027 season!

—

We open our season October 3rd with Bonfire: Improvised Tales of Terror directed by Josh Mayo!

Gather close. Listen carefully. And whatever you do, don’t look away.

A brand-new improvised horror show where ghost stories, eerie coincidences, and shadowy figures come alive in the room. Come join us by the campfire. Watch as the tales unfold, strange connections emerge, and what began as make-believe starts to feel a little too real.

—

We will have a special holiday remount of Wanderlust: Improvised Tales of Travel, Love & Longing in December!

—

Then, in February we will have Theatresports directed by Velvet Wells!

In Theatresports™, teams of improvisors face off in a fast, funny competition where audience suggestions are instantly transformed into scenes. Whether you agree with the judges' scores along the way, cheer your team to the spotlight!

—

And in April, we'll premiere A Court of Fire & Folly: An Improvised Romantasy directed by Leichelle Little!

Powerful women. Brooding love interests. Ancient prophecies. Sword fights.

A Court of Fire & Folly is a live, fully improvised fantasy romance: every show a different novel, every performance a new chosen one, a new court, a new slow burn that might actually combust.

—

And last, but certainly not least, we're continuing to run MAESTRO at 9pm after the mainstages!

Here's to a great new season!

A different murder. A different culprit. A different ending every night.

All Fall Down is an improvised murder mystery in the spirit of Agatha Christie, with a devilish twist of Clue. Sharp wit, high stakes, and absolutely no script.

See it at Ottawa Fringe tonight at 10:30pm.

Tonight at 7:30 pm - A storm of secrets. A room full of suspects. A murder no one saw coming.

All Fall Down is a completely improvised murder mystery at Ottawa Fringe. Agatha Christie meets Clue, with no script, no safety net, and no two endings alike.

Every suspect has something to hide. Every show is different. Come see if you can solve it before we do.

"Holy crap, I am absolutely so sore from laughing so much and so hard."

This is the dream, honestly.

All Fall Down is back at Ottawa Fringe tonight at 9:30pm with more secrets, more suspects, and a brand-new murder mystery every night. No script. No safety net. Just one dead body and a room full of people behaving very suspiciously.
