GNAG Community Theatre is excited to announce Something Rotten! as part of our ongoing theatre education program. Audition details at GNAG.ca or https://gnag.ca/gnagevents/theatre/

Theatre is always a risky business… Will Shakespeare is a rockstar. Literally. And his rivals? Two struggling playwrights who are desperate for a hit — until a slightly offbeat soothsayer predicts the future of theatre:
Tragedy with singing! Comedy with dancing!
Wait… what?! A musical?!
A show set in the 1590s — with the energy, comedy, and music of the 21st century!

Something Rotten! is a laugh-out-loud mashup of Elizabethan costume drama, Broadway razzle-dazzle, and Monty Python-style madness — with a joyful shuffle-step through Annie, Jesus Christ Superstar, and all your favourite musicals.

Something R🍅tten! – it’s so very bad, it’s gotta be so good.

“Breathlessly funny” – The New York Times

“The hit of the summer” – Chicago Tribune

“The smartest and funniest new musical comedy since Book of Mormon.” – Toronto Star

Join Director Eleanor Crowder, and Music Director Lauren Saindon for another season of performance in a most encouraging community setting.

Whether you’re a Shakespeare fan, dance buff, or besotted by Sondheim, this is your chance to be part of the most fun you can have on stage. (Participation for 10+ years.)

GNAG Theatre proudly presents Mary Poppins ☂ the musical, April 8 - 13. 🎟️ Tickets are available at https://gnag.ca/gnagevents/theatre/

George Banks is the perfectly raised Englishman. He values discipline and order. His children Michael and Jane most definitely do not. Perfect hellions, their track record is unparalleled as they drive off nanny after nanny. And then their advertisement finds Someone Kind, with just the right touch of firmness. Mary Poppins proves to be more than childcare. Rearranging the adults’ lives too, with a touch of magic and friends in every place, she brings sparkle and kindness to the family at Cherry Tree Lane.

Join Director Eleanor Crowder, Music Director Lauren Saindon and Choreographer Ciana Van Dusen for another season of performance in a most encouraging community setting.
