For this year’s holiday performance, you’ll hear the ORYC sing pieces in French, several of which were arranged by composers from France or Québec. Alongside these well-loved carols, the featured work will be Camille Saint-Saêns’ Oratorio de Noëk. Bring your family and friends to join us this Saturday, Dec.13th at 7:30pm, at 174 Wilbrod St., for A Very French Christmas! Ticket details in bio.

We are happy to accept new members year-round, but since we are starting all new music in the new year, now is a great time to inquire about singing with the ORYC! On Tuesday, January 6th, interested singers are invited to come meet with our Artistic Director, prior to the first rehearsal the following week. This is not a formal audition, but is instead a chance to get to know each other better, and set singers up for the remainder of the season. These boice placement meetings can also be arranged by appointment. Please visit the link in our bio for more information about joining the choir, and email our Director of Operations at [email protected] to join! Spread the word to any singers aged 15-25 of any voice type or level of experience. We encourage all of them to check out our concert this weekend! The ticket link can also be found in the bio, but we keep our concerts accessible by offering a pay-what-you-can option at the door (cash or card). Don’t hesitate to reach out to learn more, and we’ll see you there!

Thank you for helping us bring every note to life!

This Giving Tuesday, our community came together in remarkable ways to support The Performance Fund — a fund that helps create the immersive concert experiences that define the Ottawa Regional Youth Choir.

Your generosity supports the instrumentalists and musicians who share the stage with us, as well as the lighting, sound, and performance design that transform our concerts into unforgettable artistic experiences. Each contribution — large or small — helps us continue to create spaces where learning becomes artistry, and artistry becomes connection.

We’re deeply grateful to everyone who took part — by giving, sharing, or simply cheering us on. Your support helps ensure that we can continue to create performances that connect, uplift, and resonate throughout our community.

If you’d still like to participate, our campaign page will remain open for another week. Recurring monthly donations, even modest ones, provide lasting support for our young artists throughout the year. Please find the donation link in our bio.

With heartfelt gratitude,
the Ottawa Regional Youth Choir

Bringing every note to life — it starts today! [donation link in bio] This Giving Tuesday, our goal is to raise $5,000 to support The Performance Fund — a fund that brings together instrumentalists, lighting, sound, and space design to create the immersive concert experiences that define the Ottawa Regional Youth Choir.

Our choristers dedicate weeks to preparing music from the great choral symphonic repertoire. When they step on stage, it’s the professional musicians, the lighting, sound, and ambiance that transform those rehearsals into something extraordinary — a performance that surrounds both singers and audiences in an atmosphere of beauty, artistry, and connection.

Your support today ensures that our young voices can continue to perform with the accompaniment, ambiance, and production quality they deserve — and that our community can continue to experience the power of live choral performance in its fullest form.

See how far your donation goes:

$3,500: Sponsors an instrumental ensemble for a major work
$1,500: Provides rehearsal support for choristers with instrumentalists
$500: Covers the fee for a professional soloist or section lead
$250: Supports professional concert audio recording
$100: Helps cover musician honoraria and rehearsal costs
$50: Supports live concert enhancements, such as lighting and sound
$25: Contributes to sheet music and performance rights

Every gift, no matter the size, helps fill the concert hall with sound — and gives our choristers the chance to learn, grow, and shine.

Donate now to The Performance Fund (link in bio) and help us bring every note to life! Thank you for supporting youth, music, and the shared experience of performance that inspires our entire community.

Warmly, The Ottawa Regional Youth Choir Team
