Danielle Maitland is a self taught artist who discovered a passion for screen printing when she got a temporary job at a trophy shop where they had a small screen print set up to print ribbons and swimming badges. She has since gone on to work for a larger print shop with a focus on graphic design and printing clothing. Learning everything she could about making prints just right, the graphics inv
olved, prints that last, and stand out on clothing. Enjoying the entire print process, from design to film, to screen exposure to print and all the other steps in between. Designing and printing spirit wear for schools around the city. Keeping costs down for clients, she specializes in 1-2 colour designs that stand out on clothing. With a dream to put her art on clothing, Created Little Dee Designs to do just that. While also offering her services to other small businesses looking for some merch and swag and those looking for custom prints. Danielle is also a self taught traditional artist, born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario Canada. Growing up in a low income household, She always used what she had on hand to create art, and was sure to fill up the whole page with bright colours, never leaving any white behind. She was born to create. Art has always been a way for her to deal with daily life struggles. She lost 3 of the most important women in her life at a fairly young age, one of which was her mother. Art helped her through the sadness and loss. She is inspired by nature. She continues to create every day, exploring different mediums and tweaking her style. She offers custom artwork and pet portraits.
