Your CityFolk Featured Artist of the Day is... Ashley MacIsaac! 🎻

Ashley MacIsaac will perform on the Westside Stage at 7:50 PM on Wednesday, September 16. 🎤🎶

Ashley plays the fiddle with an intensity, authenticity and passion that is hard to deny. He learned his chops at an early age mentored by some of the legendary greats of the area, performing all over the Island in halls, clubs, barns and kitchens. Hi How Are You was released in the mid 90's and the accolades rolled in, the awards, the touring, the interviews and appearances, the persona took shape and the legend took hold. Among his many accomplishments, Ashley has also toured the world with Philip Glass and with The Chieftans. He’s been a featured Olympic opening ceremony performer and UCB gave him an honorary Doctorate.

Your CityFolk Featured Artist of the Day is... BAD NERVES! 🎤🎶

Bad Nerves will be playing on the TD Stage at 6:00 PM on Sunday, September 20.

The bastard child of a Ramones/Strokes one-night stand, Bad Nerves play ferociously fast, distorted pop songs. Their self-made debut and second album Still Nervous, put them in the hearts and minds of the cream of the alternative crop; including rock legends such as Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong, Pearl Jam’s Stone Gossard, and Iggy Pop. Drawing comparisons to Supergrass, The Hives and Jay Reatard, they proactively seek to make the type of in-your-face, infectious rock music that the genre was built on. After a whirlwind three years, going from playing tiny sweaty rooms to commanding stadium audiences, Bad Nerves has deservedly enamoured new fans across the world with their captivating 200mph live shows. Emerging as one of rock’n’roll’s most electrifying new exports, the band is currently working on their much-anticipated third album.

Your CityFolk Featured Artist of the Day is... Jobi Riccio! 🎤🎶

Jobi Riccio will perform on the Westside Stage at 6:30 PM on Saturday, September 19.

Jobi Riccio is an artist known for her vulnerable vocal delivery, compelling live performances, and her powerfully intimate yet universal lyricism. Riccio is stepping into her next chapter with Face The Feeling, her forthcoming album on Yep Roc Records due May 15. An “Emerging Act of the Year” nominee from the Americana Music Association, Riccio first broke through with her 2023 debut Whiplash, a coming-of-age record rooted in folk and country traditions. On Face The Feeling, she pushes far beyond those foundations, embracing a bolder, electric, indie-rock-driven sound that mirrors the album’s emotional depth. Where Whiplash captured the restless search for escape, Face The Feeling finds Riccio choosing to stay, confronting grief, rage, self-doubt, desire, and devotion head-on. Written between Colorado and Nashville and co-produced with longtime collaborators Isaiah Beard and Jesse Timm, the album balances light and dark, restraint and release, as Riccio leans into discomfort as a path toward growth. Songs like “Pilar, NM,” “Wildfire Season,” and “Doesn’t Matter” reveal an artist willing to sit inside complicated feelings rather than outrun them. Having performed at the Grand Ole Opry, made her national television debut on CBS Saturday Morning, and toured with Lucius, Jason Isbell, and Iron & Wine, Riccio arrives at Face The Feeling with clarity and confidence. The result is her most expansive work yet: a fearless excavation of self and a declaration of artistic evolution.

Wales-born, Brighton-based instrumentalist Gwenifer Raymond is a celebrated champion of the finger-picked guitar.

Your CityFolk Featured Artist of the Day is... Gwenifer Raymond

Gwenifer Raymond is set to play on the Westside Stage at 6:30 PM on Friday, September 18.

She has drawn international acclaim for her repurposing of Mississippi blues and John Fahey’s intricate Americana to embody her roots in rural South Wales and her interests in folk horror and the avant-garde, inventing a new form dubbed Welsh Primitive. The Guardian has described her as a “profound talent” whilst The Observer has praised her “awe-inspiring technique and intense musicality”, and Uncut Magazine has championed her “fast-developing talents as a composer of eerie menace.” Gwenifer Raymond released her critically acclaimed third studio album Last Night I Heard the Dog Star Bark in September 2025(2025, We Are Busy Bodies), which has been preceded by Strange Lights Over Garth Mountain (2020, Tompkins Square), a Welsh Music Prize Nominee, and You Were Never Much of a Dancer (2018, Tompkins Square).

Your CityFolk Featured Artist of the Day is... Fine Food Markett! 🎤🎶

Fine Food Market will perform on the Westside Stage at 5:30 PM on Thursday, September 17.

Fine Food Market is the folk dream-pop project of Montreal-based multi-disciplinary artist Sophie Perras. Drawing from her training as a classical pianist and inspired by the sound of her beloved PSR3000 keyboard, the songs of Fine Food Market are intuitive, emotional, and fun. Fine Food Market builds from the rudiments of countryfolk and the experimental tendencies of the indie genre to articulate a musical place filled with sunny fields, old cars, and brightly painted houses. Both eclectic and whimsical, the songs of Fine Food Market can also contain a real sadness, a feeling especially discoverable in her French lyrics. As a bilingual artist she unravels intimate and intricate musings in her own language, writing in a voice reserved for speaking to a close friend. Ultimately sincere, Fine Food Market may also pick up the tools of satire to describe difficult events of her own life.
