Frozen: New Dates & Ticketing Update
We have already shared the exciting news that Disney’s Frozen is moving forward at the Adult High School Auditorium, and now we can officially confirm the new performance dates and what comes next for ticket holders!

NEW PERFORMANCE DATES
December 2–11, 2026

For our subscribers and existing Frozen ticket holders, we know the biggest question is: What happens to my tickets?

Your existing tickets through Meridian Theatres at Centrepointe will be refunded, and Orpheus is now working to establish the new Box Office and rebooking process for our new venue.

There is no action you need to take to rebook at this time.

Once everything is ready, rebooking will happen in stages to protect the priority of our existing patrons:

Subscribers first → Existing single ticket holders → General public

We will contact you when it is your turn to rebook, so there is no need to race to purchase new tickets when the new Box Office opens.

Meridian Theatres at Centrepointe will also be communicating directly with affected ticket holders regarding refunds and these changes.

There’s lots more information to share, including the full performance schedule, how refunds will work, and what you can expect from the rebooking process.

🎼 Conducting Basics with Ruth Kwan
Get hands-on with the fundamentals you actually need in the rehearsal room and pit, including score marking, beat patterns, dynamics, cues, cutoffs, and communicating your musical intentions clearly.

🎤 Teaching & Coaching Vocals with Stacey Ingrey
Not a singer? No problem! Learn practical approaches to working with singers and ensembles, bridging the gap between conducting technique and vocal pedagogy to encourage healthier, more expressive, and more confident performances.

Both Ruth and Stacey bring extensive professional experience to this workshop, with practical knowledge you can take directly into your next rehearsal.

🎭 From Frozen Auditions to Back to Schoolhouse! 🎒

As we head into the final night of Frozen audition week, which was completely booked, we're also gearing up for another very busy weekend at Orpheus: it's Back to Schoolhouse!

Beginning tomorrow and running through Monday, 85 students will kick off a new semester of Musical Theatre, Acting, Vocal and Dance classes. We're thrilled by the continued growth of Schoolhouse. After expanding the program to meet demand last year, we're once again almost at full capacity!

But we may be able to squeeze in a few more. 👀 If you're still looking for that weekend or after-school class where your young performer can learn, create and grow through the arts, check to see if there's a spot waiting for them:

🏫 Orpheus Schoolhouse is specifically designed to provide advanced arts training with accredited and experienced instructors while keeping costs as low as possible. 🎭 It’s finally here. Our 120th Season starts TONIGHT! ❄️

After plenty of delays, changes, and anticipation, our 120th Season: Unbreakable officially gets underway tonight, and in true Orpheus fashion, we’re jumping straight into a very busy week!

❄️ FROZEN INFO MEETING – TONIGHT!
Join us at 7:00 p.m. at Orpheus, 17 Fairmont Ave. to learn all about Frozen, including auditions, rehearsals, the production process, and what to expect from our season opener.

Audition slots may be full, but the waitlist keeps getting smaller! And remember, tonight isn’t just for performers. Come learn about the many ways to get involved behind the scenes, meet the team, ask questions, and socialize. The bar will be open too!

🎭 SCHOOLHOUSE STARTS THIS WEEKEND!
Our Fall Schoolhouse semester begins Saturday, with classes every Saturday, Sunday and Monday in Musical Theatre, Acting, Dance and Vocal Performance for ages 6–18.

And apparently everyone was ready to get back to Orpheus, because almost everything is full! There are still a handful of spaces remaining, with Dance currently offering the most availability, so grab yours while you can.

Audition registration for Disney’s Frozen is officially LIVE and, true to Orpheus fashion, in less than ONE HOUR, almost every audition slot has already been booked!

There are still a few spots remaining, so if you’ve been thinking about joining us on stage, now is the time to scoop one up before the wait list begins!

❄️ FROZEN IS COMING! ❄️

After a summer that threw just about everything it could at us, we are thrilled to finally say it: Orpheus is moving forward with Disney’s Frozen!

And in a fitting return to our roots, we’ll be launching our 120th Season: Unbreakable at the Adult High School Auditorium, a venue Orpheus called home for nearly three decades.

Nine Performances are planned between December 1–13, with the exact run to be confirmed very soon. But first, We need a cast!
And with everything moving quickly, auditions are NEXT WEEK!

Somehow, while fully focused on Frozen and the search for a new venue, we forgot to mention something rather important... 🤦‍♂️

🏫 Orpheus Schoolhouse is still going ahead this fall, and registration is OPEN!

Many students have already signed up, but there is still plenty of room to join us! With classes running Saturdays through Mondays for young performers ages 6–18, there are plenty of ways to build those skills with Orpheus.

Students will work with experienced arts practitioners in a positive, supportive environment designed to help young performers learn, grow and build confidence.

And we want Schoolhouse to be accessible to every child who wants to participate. 💛 Our flexible registration options include affordable base rates, discounts for Orpheus Members, Pay What You Want options and bursaries to help remove financial barriers to positive arts education.

🎭 The Search for a New Stage Continues

As you know, it takes a lot to put an Orpheus production on stage. And unfortunately, there simply aren't many spaces in Ottawa equipped to accommodate everything that goes into an Orpheus-sized musical.

But our search continues, viable options are narrowing, and we're hopeful we'll have some answers to share with our volunteers, subscribers and patrons soon.

A big thank you to Lynn Saxberg and the Ottawa Citizen for taking the time to speak with us about where things stand, the challenges facing Orpheus and other local arts organizations, and the broader impact on our community and the City when performances can't happen.
