Alright, let's talk...

First, the info. GTA 6 "Physical" Edition will not include any discs. It will only include a Download Code for the Standard version ($109.99). There is no Ultimate option through this method. You would need to purchase the Ultimate Upgrade via PS or Xbox digital storefront.

At this time, there doesn't even seem to be a map with the "Physical" purchase. You will also be able to purchase the "Physical" edition on November 12th, one week before the actual release date of November 19th. This is to allow pre-loading.

Now let's get personal.
Yep, this sucks. No other way to word it honestly. This was our most anticipated launch in our modern history. With virtually no other game releasing in November, this game was going to make our month and heck, maybe even our whole holiday season.

Would I like to stand with other retailers such as VGP and out right refuse to sell this game? Absolutely! We believe in the integrity of keeping physical media alive just as much as the next game store. It provides competition, options and control to the consumer. This should always be viewed as a positive and not something that should ever be taken away from us.

That being said, I do believe it is in our best interest to still carry this game. While we will gladly voice our displeasure with this situation, we are not in a position to lose out on revenue from one of the biggest entertainment launches in our lifetime. Even if it is a fraction of what we were hoping for.

While the hope for an actual Physical copy is still alive and might come in the future, we have to deal with what we got for now.

If you are going to play it day one, no matter what, why not support local at the same time? (We might also have a sudden urge to buy completely empty game cases in November - no relation to GTA whatsoever, totally)
