🩸🪓 The cabin is calling… and auditions for Evil Dead: The Musical are officially OPEN! 🌲📖

Based on the cult films, Evil Dead: The Musical follows five college students who accidentally unleash an evil force in a remote cabin in the woods.

💀 SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: This production just got even bigger! Evil Dead will now run for TWO WEEKS / 8 SHOWS / 2 LOCATIONS! In addition to our scheduled performances at the Richcraft Theatre in Shenkman Arts Centre (October 29–31), we’re adding an extra week of performances October 22–24 at Arts Court Theatre.

The Necronomicon has been found, the cabin is waiting, and the demons are (probably) behaving themselves… for now.

Join us TOMORROW NIGHT for our Evil Dead Info Night and movie screening! Whether you’re thinking of auditioning, joining the production team, or just curious what this chaotic horror-comedy musical is all about, this is your sign to come hang.

We’ll kick things off with the creative team sharing their vision for Evil Dead: The Musical, a cult-favourite show packed with cabin-in-the-woods chaos, deadites, dark comedy, iconic one-liners, and an absurd amount of fake blood. Then we’ll screen the original The Evil Dead film that started the whole cursed saga. 🪓

Last night, the cast of Dance Like No One’s Watching took the stage for dress rehearsal. From first rehearsals to final runs, this group has poured so much heart, courage, creativity, and joy into every moment of this show. 💛

Now… it’s opening night. 🎉

Get ready for an evening of movement, storytelling, and music featuring an incredible mix of dance styles, musical theatre favourites, and original songs by local singer-songwriters all brought to life by an amazing cast and creative team.

The cabin crew has assembled… 🩸🪓🌲

Meet the production team bringing Evil Dead: The Musical to life at LBMT! From blood-soaked comedy to demon-fighting chaos, this incredible team is already hard at work dreaming up a hilariously horrifying production that’s equal parts spooky, campy, and downright groovy. We’re so excited to introduce the creative minds behind the mayhem (check out the graphic for the full team 👀).

Want to learn more about the show? Join us for our Evil Dead Info Night on May 24 at LBMT (480 Avalon Place)! The evening begins with an info session where the creative team will share their vision for the production, talk about the world of the show, and answer questions, followed by a screening of the original Evil Dead movie that inspired the musical.
