Howdy,

The article below is written by a pal who had this whacky idea to start a show at a pancake house that served liquor... That was beside a comedy club.

The 10 of us were just excited to do comedy and make each other laugh. The club owner next door was not. We got banned for a year. We started new shows(including this one). Had fun and learned a few lessons a long the way (insert hallmark movie).

I'm glad he ended up going with his gut and putting on the show, despite the pressure.

Hello Friends,

With the prevention state and trying to flatten the curve of COVID-19, Shanghai will be temporarily closed for the next few weeks. Reno's and self care time for all. Wishing everyone the best and see you all in the near future.

Be safe and use a shower head for those bums 🧡

Temporary closure of Shanghai for self and community care but also for some much needed renovations.

Many businesses, community organizations and events are taking actions to help protect the health of our community and prevent the spread of the Covid19 virus.

We at Shanghai have decided to take this opportunity to self isolate and protect ourselves, our much loved staff and at the same time, do some much dreamt up renovations in the Shanghai.

Effective immediately, we will be closed today and the following week or more.

We appreciate your understanding as we work to mitigate the spread of Covid19 in our community.

What a beautiful time(k) o(de)n friday - celebrating the 50th edition of comedy and Karaoke. Thank you to Shanghai for having the most hospitable and intimate environment for comics and audiences alike. Truth is always found in humor when there is no fear. Its been a privilege to produce these 50 and I couldn't have asked for a better line-up on Friday.

Looking forward to the next episode on February 21st. The Friday. 2020 baaaybeee.
