Just shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of my dear friend Suzanne-Marie Landry. Her enthusiasm was contagious and her passion for music, especially the blues, always came shining through whenever you connected with her. We worked together for over 25 years and she was one of my biggest supporters in the early days, booking many of my artists on the festivals she organized throughout Quebec. Suzanne-Marie was a kind, and generous soul, who did so much for culture in Quebec, especially in her hometown of Sherbrooke. She loved to play harmonica and when she had time, she would happily join some of her favourite artists on stage to jam, before heading backstage to make sure the artists had everything they needed. Suzanne-Marie was one of a kind and I will miss her big time. Rest in peace my friend.

So excited to see Donnie “Mr. Downchild” Walsh appointed to the Order of Canada, recognizing his more than five decades of extraordinary contributions to Canadian music and culture. The honour—the nation’s highest civilian recognition—celebrates Walsh’s lifetime of dedication to the blues and his role in shaping Canada’s musical legacy.

It's been a true honour and a pleasure working with Donnie and Downchild over the past 25 years.

Congratulations Donnie! You are most deserving of this distinguished award!!

A big Happy Birthday today to Dick Cooper of The Cooper Brothers! A songwriting tour-de-force, Dick has written some amazing songs over the years, like "The Dream Never Dies", "Rock & Roll Cowboys", and he continues to craft some masterful songs for his band, as well as many, young, up and coming artists.
