A popular Halloween house in Orléans that has raised tens of thousands of dollars for the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) for decades is at risk of shutting down after a neighbour complained to Ottawa Bylaw.

We regret to announce the closure of The Albert CHEO Haunted House due to a neighbour’s complaint to bylaw. Bylaw now requires us to remove all buildings associated with the haunted house.

We want to express our deepest gratitude to the community and everyone who supported us and CHEO over the past 26 years. We’re also proud to have donated over $100,000 to CHEO.

Finally, I’d like to thank my parents, family, friends, and volunteers for their help and unwavering support over the years. We also want to thank CHEO for their continued support.
