To our competitors and volunteers - emails have been sent this morning outlining how the trials will run. Volunteers - because of the time we are living in we have had to change how we do lunch. Please see the email for instructions and get back to me with your preferences. Competitors - the trials will be run a little differently than "normal" and an email has been sent to you outlining how things will happen so there are no big surprises for you on the day. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone after such a long time of social distancing.

The Rally/Obedience premium for the OVGRC Trials is ready and will be available soon on Canuck Dogs and dogshow.ca All entries will be taken through dogshow.ca and entries will open at 7 pm, Saturday, September 25th. Please share this information with your dog sport friends.

Ontario’s vaccine passport begins today. This means that to attend the OVGRC Obedience and Rally trials you must provide proof of 2 doses of the COVID vaccine (and be 14+ days post second vaccine). The province will hopefully have an app available by then.

The Ottawa Valley Golden Retriever Club will be hosting two Rally trials on October 30 and two Obedience trials on October 31 at The Training Hall. Entries will be limited for these trials and all COVID precautions and restrictions will be in play, including the provinces requirement for full COVID vaccination of those attending these trials in any capacity. The premium list and opening date and time will be posted soon. Entries will be through www.dogshow.ca

We are looking forward to hosting these trials and having a little bit of normalcy in the local dog community again. Please note that all rules will be adhered to and no abuse of any official, volunteer or participant will be tolerated. Let’s get together and have some good old fashion performance dog fun.

The weather forecast this weekend is for sun and above zero temperatures. Great travel weather! The perfect opportunity to get out and earn some legs/titles in obedience :) Day of Trial entries are available at our trials this weekend. The OVPC Obedience trials have closed and the entries are low. Were you considering entering and forgot? We are offering day of trial entries and are offering them at the regular $30 per class entry fee.

Please, if you are ready to trial, consider supporting these Ottawa trials. Without your support the club will not be able to offer trials in the future and that will be a big loss to the obedience community. We have two great judges and a first class facility close to all conveniences.

The trials are coming, the trials are coming! The premium list can be found on Canuck Dogs. Entries are also being taken through Entry Line, it may not be listed there yet but will be soon if it's not. Closing date is Monday, February 24th. March is coming soon!
