Acrylics by Elaine Comeau:
"Frank's", This old style auto repair shop had so much character I had to paint it! I love the old car and the faded signage which was never updated. So much fun and old memories.
16" x 20"

"Red Dashboard", Focusing on an old Chevy dashboard creates an exciting and fun feeling of when dashboard were an artform in itself. Lots of contrast between colours and chrome.

Photography by Stephanie Moscrip:
"Lady in Red", Simple. Elegant. Refined. A true lady. Nature's lady. The choice of a black background was made to draw attention to the raw beauty in a simple tulip.
16" x 12"

"Fill Your Cup", Can you feel the sunlight pouring into the tulip's cup? As the tulip soaks in the sun so should we take the time to fill our own cup with what we need every day.

Oil by Michael Goguen:
"KaZoom!", Wile E. Coyote is still up to his outlandish efforts in trying to get a square meal. This artwork provides a more "realistic" image of the classic cartoon although the RoadRunner is still rather surrealistic in appearance.

Mixed media by Julia Lockie:
"Day #9 Genetic Scraps", This is one of my Covid collages, made during the longest lockdown period. I decided to make one small artwork each day to have some routine and predictability, some form of outlet for all that was happening and to express my feelings about it. This process lasted for 209 days.

Mixed media by Julia Lockie:
"Agridolci (Bittersweet)", In May, 2025, I attended an artist retreat in Sicily. We stayed at a centuries old farmhouse and estate called a masseria in Madonie National Park. This is one of the three paintings I produced in the studio that week. It is no doubt inspired by the medieval architecture and ancient, often crumbling stone structures that we saw.
13" x 13"

"And the Red Bird Sings", This gentle piece has no red bird in it. It was inspired by the sounds of cardinals singing at the break of dawn. The artwork is done in mixed media with lots of collage and paint, and also some real pressed leaves from our trees out here in Oxford Mills. This collage fodder can be found in a number of my paintings.

Mixed media by Julia Lockie:
"Rogue Symmetry", This abstract painting has lots of almost geometric shapes and linear elements, but they look like they're fragmenting or disintegrating. What might have once been orderly is now fairly chaotic and falling apart. Can't imagine what might have been the inspiration for this artwork.
22" x 22"

"Save Me a Spot in the Mango Pink Twilight", Sometimes my paintings are just surprises from start to finish, like this one. When I try to be more playful, use colours and colour combinations I rarely choose, and let imperfect elements just be, fabulous things can happen. And then a crazy title pops into my brain at 4 a.m.. So much fun!
