I am delighted to say that we've been nominated for Outstanding Emerging Artist for the writing of Rainy Heart Production's Agent Madeleine!

Agent Madeleine won best of fest at the 2018 Ottawa Fringe Festival, blowing audiences away with the true story of Noor Inayat Khan, a secret agent in the second world war.

The best feeling in the world as a director: When the cast inspires you and challenges you to be better.

I saw venting about a set concern turn into suggestions, turn into brainstorming, turn into sketching and ultimately a solution that both solved many problems and furthered the themes of the show. And it didn't come from me, the director and playwright, or from any of the other behind the scenes people.

It came from the actors, working together and understanding the text, building off each other, and being unwilling to compromise on what they need. No, they said, this was not working. The show can be better.

And my goodness, they showed me how.

I am inspired and humbled to work with such a fantastic team, and thankful we are getting that two way communication. When you've got a cast this great, things don't seem so daunting.
