Canterbury High School’s Dance Program proudly presents Complexions: Dance Night 2023!

It will be a show filled with fantastic performances, and student-generated choreography that has been in the works since September! As well, there will be a fantastic bakesale to help support the Dance Program!

Shows will be taking place on May 25th and 26th at 7:00 pm at Canterbury High School. Tickets can be purchased online ($15 for students, and $20 for adults) or at the door for $25. We hope to see you there!

ONLY 38 DAYS TO OPENING NIGHT?!!

Hi everyone!. Jennie M (class of 2023) and Eugene W (class of 2024) are the Dance Night Parent Co-Chairs. They played instrumental roles in making last year's event a success.

As the school cannot share parent/guardian contact information with other parents, we ask you to "opt in" to communication from the Dance Night committee. This is also how you sign up to volunteer. Please use this link. http://eepurl.com/h4FhJv

Come out and support the dance program and enjoy a fun evening of dance!

Bring your mug - hot chocolate will be served! And bring some cash to enjoy from a selection of baked goods!

Welcome back returning Dance families!! And a big welcome to our new Dance families!

While we wait for the school year to really get started and Dance Parents' Council gets up & running for this school year, we wanted to share the reminder that all dance students are asked to pay the Voluntary fee for Dance.

This is paid through School Cash Online (www.schoolcashonline.com) . In the past, the payment was required to be made in full in one payment. GREAT NEWS!! The system is now able to do monthly paments!

When you login to School Cash Online, select your Dance student and you will see the regular student fees for all CHS students (again, voluntary....) that includes the option for a Year Book, etc. And you will also see the student fees for Dance.

This is a $250 fee for each year your student dances at Canterbury. What does this cover?

As a member of the Canterbury Arts Program, you are asked to pay your yearly fee of $250 for curriculum enhancements that are above and beyond what students in regular programs receive. This includes supplies, guest speakers, specialized equipment, and learning opportunities that are unique to Arts Canterbury. We rely on these fees as the primary source of support for this special program.

If you have any concerns or questions, please contact Liz Hanson, Arts Coordinator, as subsidy and financial assistance are available.

This fee, plus the funds raised during our annual Dance Night (held in spring each year) fund the dance program above & beyond the regular dollars per student that the school receives for each student (the same amount as if your child attended their local high school).
