recently got my hands on a camera from 2004 📷
so naturally, I had to bring it along to the Metcalfe fair and see what it could still do 🎠
there’s something really fun about taking a camera that’s over 20 years old and photographing something completely in the present. the colours, the little imperfections, the way the light comes through… it gives the fair a completely different feeling.
fun fact: 2004 was actually a pretty important year for photography…. it was the first year digital cameras outsold film cameras. cameras from that era were also right in the middle of the “megapixel race,” with 4–5 megapixels becoming pretty standard and 6–8 megapixel cameras starting to appear ✨
20+ years later, I wanted to see what those cameras could capture now.
here’s how the Metcalfe fair looked through a little piece of 2004 🎡
