Who else feels like they are navigating major life story choices right now?
It can be so difficult to know what next turn to make, what new chapter to write in my story, and all while time stares back at me. I’ve been thinking a lot about what it means to be an artist and how I want to fit into this world. What do I want to say? Who do I want to be?
This collage came together in an unplanned manner, picking out pieces of imagery that felt interesting and piecing them together afterward. And just like that, the process of this collage became a message to me in itself. I don’t need to have the complete picture or story planned out and finished in my head before I start working on it and making choices. I can simply pick out the details that interest me and follow those smaller choices, trusting my intuition and allowing creativity to flow.
You’re exactly where you need to be.

Luna the Orchid Fairy 🌙

Orchids are one of my favourite flowers and there were so many on the trees in São Paulo 😍 which inspired the creation of this fairy. In reworking my first sketch of Luna, I wanted to capture more of the regal grace and power I originally imagined for her. I wanted to emulate characters like Galadriel from Lord of the Rings, Padamé Amidala from Star Wars and Princess Yue from Avatar from the Last Airbender.
