Come and check out these new paintings at the ArtEast Fine Art show on the weekend. These pieces are part of a series called Playful Ocean inspired by Nova Scotia. I always love the rocks and textures on the beaches and hope I captured some of that in paint and collage. The show is on Saturday and Sunday, 10am to 4pm at Pine View Golf Club.

Here’s a recent painting done in acrylic and collage, and some progress shots. I was experimenting with a bit of an odd but appealing colour scheme. Sometimes in the winter I enjoy working against the season by painting with very summery colours. It cheers me up! This piece is 24 by 24.
