Katharine Robinson School of Highland Dancing Celebrating 52 years of teaching highland dancing to students of all ages and every level in Ottawa and the surrounding areas.

The Katharine Robinson School of Highland Dancing is a strong and vibrant Ottawa-based dance studio with students between the ages of 2 and 60. Now in its 52nd year, the school offers classes for recreation, annual examinations, performances, and competitions at local, regional, and international levels. Performance highlights include the 150th anniversary of the Ottawa Regional Police Military Ta

ttoo and the 100th anniversary of Belfast’s City Hall as well as performances at Edinburgh Castle, at Stirling Castle, and at the residence of Robbie Burns in Loch Lomond. Most recently, the school had the honour of hosting a private performance for Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, and the Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Philip, at Balmoral Castle with the Sons of Scotland Pipe Band. Joignez-vous à nous le 27 juin de 13 h à 16 h à Fairbairn House, Wakefield, pour un après-midi festif célébrant la culture écossaise! Profitez de spectacles de danses écossaises, de danses ceilidh, de musique celtique, de jeux écossais, de marchands locaux et plus encore. 15 $ pour les adultes, gratuit pour les enfants. Join us on June 27th from 1–4 PM at Fairbairn House in Wakefield for a fun afternoon celebrating Scottish culture! Enjoy Highland dance performances, ceilidh dancing, Celtic music, Highland games, local vendors, and more. $15 admission for adults, free for children. Don’t forget to bring a lawn chair or picnic blanket to enjoy the performances comfortably. We can’t wait to see you there!

Busy couple of weeks at the studio! At the end of February we had the OHDA competition. Congrats to Calixa & Rowan on their duet win 🏆 and Léa on her 1st Runner-Up! So proud of all our dancers who competed on Saturday and Sunday!

This Saturday we also had the pleasure of dancing in the St. Patrick’s Parade 🍀 The crowd and energy were amazing, so great to see so many people out celebrating!
