Definitely my most challenging pet yet. A tongue and life jacket were difficult, but the owners were filled with joy and sadness since this sweet soul had just passed. It was a surprise gift. 💝

As I was drawing this beautiful kind soul for a birthday present to his wife, JJ passed away in the Spring 2024. I was lucky enough to be greeted at my car while staying at Casselodge in Casselman Ontario. JJ is forever loved by Francois and Nicole and the thousands of guests he ushered to the front door over the years. He is dearly missed. 💕

I’ve always been a realist when it comes to my art, so for the first time I’m breaking free and experimenting with non traditional colours and a less detailed style. Even though this was a bright summer day it gives off an autumn vibe. Having so much fun this summer sketching again, living in the moment and not focusing on the final product. I feel like a kid again when I just created for the fun of it. 😊

Meet Tuna. This little darling can melt anyone heart with those big eyes. She brings joy and smiles to anyone she comes into contact with. It was my pleasure to do this as a birthday gift for Tuna’s special and talented owner. 💕

This beautiful soul was given as a gift to his wife for her birthday. Negan brings joy with his thundering feet leaping to you meet you at the door and sensing when his owner needs to be comforted. This was a joy to draw. 💕 (local in Ottawa, Ontario)

Chickpea. She is an adorable dog that is so full of love for any humans she comes across….

I was fortunate enough to be given this job from a previous client. His mother wanted to give the portrait as a wedding gift to her grandson as a wedding gift. I was thrilled to read that the gift was as special as I had hoped.

I was very touched by this message from the father of the groom. ❤️
“My whole family was in attendance when the Chickpea portrait was opened, and it was a good thing that the bride (Lea) was sitting down as she was overcome with emotion. They absolutely loved the present.
It was a slam dunk, there was absolutely no way that your piece would not be treasured…and it played out that way. you are an amazing artist, but you also seem to be able to show the personality of the pet in your piece…usually from pictures and anecdotes…that is a gift”

How lucky am I to be part of such a special day 🥰

Peggy's Cove Lighthouse, also known as Peggy's Point Lighthouse, is one of Nova Scotia’s most well-known lighthouses and may be the most photographed in Canada. Located in the quaint fishing village of Peggy’s Cove along the South Shore, Peggy’s Point Lighthouse was built in 1915.

This misty, cloudy day seemed like the perfect setting to turn into a painting. 🇨🇦 There are some moments I see, take a photo and I know in a second that one day I’ll make it into a painting. This was one of those moments.

Meet Pete. This big, wonderful dog resides in Calgary Alberta. Don't let that grumpy look fool you. He was caught in a great moment, while basking in the warm summer with the sun in his eyes. Pete is aaaaaaall love. He always has a big, wet, slobbery kiss for you as he attempts to 'share' a chair with you. 🤣🤣🤣 It was an absolute joy painting him. 😊
