Slowly getting back to the harp after a much needed break. Took the first bit of 2024 off to rest and recover after welcoming this newest audience member to the family 🥰 Excited to see if the Lariviere exercises are still her favourite like they were before she was born!

I love seeing client galleries (like this gorgeous one that just came in from Ciera and Eric's wedding this August, shot by Chelsea Gurr) and playing "spot the harpist" in the ceremony photos while reliving how special my couples' days are. I'm always honoured when couples choose me to be a part of their wedding day, and love being a little part of the soundtrack to their love story. (ok ok, I know that was cheesy!)

I've got my last double-header weekend of the year coming up this week. BOTH couples have great taste and have requested this classic wedding piece plus a couple other contemporary favourites to walk down the aisle to. The middle to the end of wedding season is always crazy with practicing pieces for couples coming up as well as ones a bit farther out!

I just couldn't help but double-post today because not only did I receive the photos from my recent shoot with Photography by Emma, but it's also been exactly a year since my mother-in-law and I had our road trip to NY to pick up my Salvi Harps Scolpita! Here's to another great year of weddings, events, and continuing to grow as a musician! 🥂

As much as I've loved playing at all of this summer's outdoor and indoor weddings & events, I have to say I'm quite excited for the cooler weddings coming this fall (and for getting to go back to play at The Knox Wedding & Event Venue again!)

Happy Friday! I know I’ve introduced one of my full-time audience members on here before (scroll back to meet him!), but I haven’t shared about my other full-time audience member. This is Stella! She found a new comfy place to nap and was not happy with me when I had to move her to pack up for rehearsal. 🤣

What I find so cute is that it doesn’t matter if it’s my husband or I that goes into the living room to practice or what we’re working on, both puppies will run from wherever they are in the house and sleep on the couch so they can listen. 🥰
