A couple years ago I wove a series featuring the Canadian provinces. I am currently gathering images for a similar project, only the pieces will be much smaller and I will weave a set number of the same design of each province.

The final two (of ten!) new 10”x15” weaves I made to kick off summer show season. A nod to the time I spent in Scotland last fall. So many more scenes to weave…so little time.

Tomorrow I am off to Saskatchewan to celebrate a family wedding and then to Toronto for our youngest’s university graduation. I get back and it’s time for Art in the Park Ottawa, I hope to see you there! 🧡🧶

Art In The Park is just around the corner and in between now and then we are travelling for a family wedding and a university graduation! I am hoping to get a couple more small pieces made but most of my time will now be focused on finishing and hanging existing work, including these four.
I had Canadian Shield in mind when I wove them, sparkling water, rugged landscape and mesmerizing sunsets. Nature is an endless source of inspiration. 🧶🧡

Who else wishes they were at the beach today?! 29 in Ottawa and I am mentally unprepared for summer temperatures. It’s not so bad when you can wander the shoreline, feel the breeze on your face and the cool water on your toes.

These two are 10” across and about 15” long, handwoven with natural fibres. Come see them in person at Art in the Park Ottawa on June 13&14. 🧶🧡
