💬 - 404 Party Not Found event/indefinite postponement - we're going digital?!
Dear friends,
We have a message about our upcoming event + 404: Party Not Found.
While our inboxes fill with news of coronavirus responses, we have been closely watching official guidelines on coronavirus pandemic precautions.
We care about our friends, family, colleagues, and loved ones who may be vulnerable.
The decidedly ironic name of our party was as timely as it was coincidental: this party will not be found... not in person.
This means the gathering on April 4th is postponed indefinitely and that all upcoming events are subject to strict observance of public health recommendations.
We are aware that possible imminent self-isolation, public health restrictions and quarantines may leave many of us feeling socially isolated, so we'll leave the door open for a possible livestream substitute. We are currently looking at avenues to go digital with this event.
As community spread of this global pandemic is now confirmed by Ottawa Public Health, we are postponing all activities to support stringent and immediate social distancing efforts in the community at large, and recommendations to cancel all in-person gatherings.

Our energies will be completely diverted to supporting those in need in our community, and observing public health guidelines as strictly as possible. Let's keep everyone safe.
There are local groups banding together to share resources and assist those in self-isolation/quarantine, as well as those experiencing hardships under these measures; please consider redirecting your time and resources to help people in your community.
Until then, we hope that we may be able to gather again safely, but we don't know when that will be or even what the world will look like by then. So please stay connected and reach out to us if there is anything you need to discuss or if you need help for yourself or a loved one. It's a time for deep solidarity, compassion and patience towards one another.
In closing, as we prepare for possible isolation or quarantine, we invite you to seek information from credible sources and practice every precaution available to you. Together, we can make a difference if we act now.
