Using the Closet Core Sepia Pant pattern, these talented ladies learned a variety of new sewing techniques while creating garments that fit them perfectly.

We began by sewing muslins and making personalized fitting adjustments, ensuring each student left with a custom fit and the confidence to recreate these pants again and again.

👏 Congratulations, ladies—you did an amazing job! 👏

🧵 L created the stylish barrel-leg version, while Chantal sewed the elegant wide-leg version. Both turned out beautifully, and I couldn't be more proud of their hard work and dedication.

Way to go N on the completion if a pair of PJ pants for your dad, for Father's day.
Your sewing skills have improved so much since you began last fall. You are able to think ahead and follow some steps independently to finish projects. You impress me everytime we sew together.

A youth studemt completed a cut pair of summer shorts in a poly cotton blend. Perfect Ottawa weather wearing shorts. She used the PJ pants pattern from Patterns for Pirates and we took in the leg /hip width, rounded the bottom hem and moved the short line down for a longer fit.
Tu as tellement bien complété ton projet N. Bravo :)

J is soon expecting her first baby and enjoyed making this cute little romper out of a poly blend stretch fabric in my baby/child clothes making session.
She learned to stitch in the ditch, sew with knit fabric, what interfacing was and how to use it, how to line a fabric, create a binding to add snaps, how to add metal snaps and how to make button holes.
Way to go J. I wish you the best with your little one. See you in the fall :)

J wanted to make her son a hoodie after she successfully completed hers earlier this year. We used a really vibrant custom super soft French Terry fabric, Suoer Mario theme fabric to complete the make.
Way to go J. You did such an excellent job. I hear her son just loves his hoodie so much :)

R has done a spectacular job making a pair of classic Pj pants by Pattern for Pirates. We learned how to make some modifications to the leg width and sew with a stretch fabric. A pretty leopard is print in a flower bamboo poly mixed fabric was used.
Way to go R. R has some really pretty makes coming up from our private classes together. Stay tuned !

This student finished the Hygee Cardigan by Pattern Niche last fall and the Flygaa Sweater by Kystbarn this spring. She used the beautiful rich Burgundy bamboo cotton stretch fleece purchased at Makers Lodge. ( it's my fav fabris but she don't tell anyone).
The flygaa sweater's unique back and hood are sure to turn some heads and so very unique.

Some beautiful makes by some beautiful ladies.

First up A made the fira dress Oliver & S sewing patterns. Made in a ramy linen purchased by Makers Lodge. This dress turned out beautifully after a little sway back adjustment.

Second up N made the Karla loungewear set by Swim Style Patterns in a stunning super soft ( it's my most favorite fabric), bamboo cotton stretch fleece in a stunning rich purple, purchased at Makers Lodge.

Way to go ladies. These two pueces turned out beautifully. Both ladies now feel confident in their abilities to make the fira Top on their own including the sway back adjustment and drop shoulder adjustment need to perfect it's fit for their body type.
