September is here! Aerialists who want to up their game have a special workshop to kickstart the term, and for the rest of us ... well, we hope you're rested up and ready to hit the circus books - class is in, with two terms announced, taking into 2027!

🎈 NEW TERM STARTS SEP. 14TH
A new 7-Week term begins at Halifax Circus, and this time we're opening registration for our next term too - sign up for Sep/Oct, or lock in until the 2027 New Year with 14-Weeks of your favourite circus classes! Save your seat - and save a few bucks, too - when register for both terms.

Hello aerialists! Are you looking to take some time to work on your artistry skills this summer? Do you want to be able to express more in your acts? Do you want more fluidity from start to finish? Then this workshop is for you!

$150+HST per student
*Students must sign up for both sessions in this 2-part Workshop.

A monthly workshop series for the ASL Community. Join Aiyana for floor skills, focusing on acro, balance and juggling. Please note that all instruction is signed, there is no spoken communication in these classes.

Do you want to be able to express more in your acts? Do you want more fluidity from start to finish? Then this workshop is for you!

This 2-day workshop will focus on transitions and on artistry expression. You will learn to create WITH your apparatus and really lean into the teamwork of it. Aiyana will take you through guided exercises in the air and on the ground.

There is a limit of 6 spots - Participants must sign up for both days.

PART 1 - Sat. August 8, 1-4PM
PART 2 - Sun. August 9, 1-4PM

🔶 SUMMER CIRCUS CAMP is happening at Halifax Circus - but don't worry if you missed out! We have a 2nd camp coming up, August 17-21st! For ages 7-12 - Camps run Monday to Friday, 9AM-4PM, with a showcase for parents/guardians on Friday afternoon. For more info and to register, visit halifaxcircus.com/youth-camp (link in bio).

🔷 CREATOR'S LAB YOUTH CAMP - August 3-7: for youth 13 and up, this is a week-long camp for young artists who want to level-up their circus. 🔶 AERIAL ARTISTRY WORKSHOP - August 8-9: Expression, fluidity, transitions; train the skills that will take your aerial act from good to great in this special 2-day workshop. Creator's Lab is a 5-day intensive camp offered to senior youth. Halifax Circus is proud to offer this opportunity to young artists, 13+ years.

Artists from BC's DEER CROSSING THE ART FARM will guide a team of youth through the various steps of the collaborative showbuilding process the company has developed over 17 years as part of a touring outdoor production called “The Rainforest Circus".

Each day will begin with team-building activities and theatrical games to limber the body and ignite the imagination. Senior artists will walk the team through the 'blue-sky' phase of theme exploration and how to develop an inspiration board where colours, costumes and show visuals are portrayed.

Once a theme is chosen, individuals will separate into focused groups of interest such as: music, aerials, acrobatics, theatre, storyline, clowning, technical development props and costumes (an individual can be part of multiple groups). We will offer guidance to each creative group in how to develop material around a chosen theme. We will always begin the day as a full cast and end the day with a “Show and Tell" debrief.

As part of the week, the team will take a field trip around the city to discover potential outdoor show locations. The week’s intensive will culminate in a final “Show and Tell” to friends and family with the goal of further show development and performances to take place in the summer of 2027.

Pricing for the camp is $300 (+tax) per student.

We're happy to announce that Open Gym hours will continue throughout the summer on Sundays, 3-5pm! You may have noticed it was missing from our initial schedule, but we worked it out - students and visitors alike are welcome to come train with us during this weekly session.

It is highly recommended you register before showing up - aerial points are limited, and floor space fills up quickly. Hit us up at [email protected]! Of course, if you happen to be passing by, drop-ins are still welcome - we just can't promise anything!

Rates are $12 (+tx) for current students and $15 (+tx) for visitors.
