Les nageurs entrent dans la rivière des Outaouais le long des rives du parc des Cèdres pour la nage en eau libre Garde-rivière de 1,5 km qui a eu lieu le dimanche 13 août 2023.

Une deuxième course, de 4 km, faisant également partie du nage en eau libre Garde-rivière avait lieu au même moment, au départ du Club de voile du Lac Deschênes à Nepean. Les participants du 1,5 km et du 4 km ont couru jusqu'à la ligne d'arrivée au camp de base installé à la plage d'Aylmer.

Swimmers enter the Ottawa River along the shores of the Parc des Cèdres for the 1.5 km Riverkeeper Open Water Swim that took place on Sunday, August 13, 2023.

A second race, of 4 km, also part of the Riverkeeper Open Water Swim was taking place at the same time, starting at the the Lac Deschenes Sailing Club in Nepean. Participants from both the 1.5 km and 4 km race ran to the finish line at the base camp set up at the Aylmer Beach.

"Residents that frequent the Boucher Forest trails can now make use of the new installations which include signage indicating the various paths as well as a pedestrian shelter. The construction of the shelter was sponsored by the Fondation Choquette-Legault and was designed by Sophie Lamothe, associate A4 Architecture + Design."
