L.M. Montgomery’s grandfather, ‘Big’ Donald Montgomery, lived in this house! She had a deep fondness for him and their visits together. Montgomery re-imagined the house in several Anne-themed books, including Rainbow Valley, Anne of Ingleside, and Rilla of Ingleside.

Now, it is a bookable rental called The Inn at Ingleside!
