Earlier this week, two authors featured from this year's Cavendish Literary Festival were announced on the 2026 Giller Prize shortlist!

The Giller Prize recognizes the best in Canadian fiction! This is an incredible accomplishment, and we are so happy to have had both Tara Gereaux and Nicholas Herring at our recent festival. Congratulations! 👏📚

One of our favourite parts of the Cavendish Literary Festival is getting to relive the memories afterwards 🥰

Thank you to the wonderful Jill Johnston for capturing these snapshots throughout some of our events!

We’re already looking into the future, and we’d like to hear from you! Who would you like to see as featured voices for next year’s Cavendish Literary Festival?

As we reflect on this year's festival, we want to send out a massive THANK YOU to our biggest partner and supporter, Bookmark 💛

Over the very busy weekend, they kept track and made sure we had books by our featured voices to purchase at every event! Without them, we could not put together the Cavendish Literary Festival.

Join us in thanking and congratulating them on a very successful weekend, and remember to support your local bookstores!

Our fourth and final day… where do we begin?!

Today, the Cavendish Literary Festival continued with more unique workshops and author presentations, an open mic opportunity, our first French-language segment, an L.M. Montgomery-inspired art exhibit with a literature pairing, and our third Spotlight Session featuring Tara Gereaux. 🎤📖

We are so very grateful to everyone who joined us this weekend: authors, writers, readers, and anyone in between. Seeing the enjoyment and active participation of guests has been incredibly fulfilling and inspires us even more for the future!

Stay tuned as we continue to reflect on our literary weekend 🥰
