Our Centre is not just a place to grab local info – our contemporary art and craft gallery showcases the amazing talents of over 30 local artists, artisans, and craftspeople. From stunning paintings and intricate sculptures to beautiful wood and metalwork, fashion, textiles, yarn creations, sparkling jewellery, and even delicious homemade preserves – there’s something for everyone! itor Centre is proudly operated by the Shire of Waroona, and our friendly team of staff and volunteers is here to help you with all the information you would ever need - where to stay, where to eat, what to see, what to do - drop by for a chat or to pick up some tips about what to do around town! We’re open daily from 9:30am - 3:30pm (except on Good Friday, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year's Day).

In one small step for cowkind and one giant leap for Mooriel, she's gone intergalactic in a cosmic creation that's truly out of this world. 🌎🪐✨ Draped in a galaxy of stars and planets and topped with a simply stellar solar system headpiece, Mooriel is ready for lift-off!

Swing by for a photo and tag us, then step inside to discover art and craft, unique gifts and local produce, pick up maps and guides, and talk with our friendly locals for inspiration on adventures, attractions and hidden gems around Waroona.

🚨🧡SES Cow Patrol!🧡🚨
All through May, Mooriel is proudly wearing orange in support of SES volunteers and WOW Day (Wear Orange Wednesday) on May 20.

From storms and floods to searches, road crash rescues and bushfire support, SES volunteers step up when communities need help most. Across WA, these volunteers give countless hours helping keep communities safe.

As we head toward winter storm season, WA SES Murray Volunteer Unit is encouraging everyone to get prepared before the wild weather arrives.

⛈️A few simple things can make a huge difference:
✅ Clear gutters and downpipes
✅ Trim overhanging branches
✅ Secure loose outdoor items
✅ Check roofs for damage or leaks
✅ Make sure drains are clear
✅ Have torches, batteries and emergency contacts handy

SES units are always looking for more community-minded volunteers. Training is provided, friendships are formed, and there are many ways to help, from frontline response and rescue support through to communications, logistics and admin roles.

Mooriel and the gang at the Waroona Visitor Centre would like to wish everyone a happy and safe Easter.

We’d love you to stop in while you’re out and about. The gallery is full of fabulous art, craft and produce from over 50 local creatives, and we’ve got plenty of information to help you plan your day trip or stay. 🗺️

Mooriel’s gone the eggstra mile and during opening hours she’ll have the Easter Bunny along for the ride, so it’s a great chance to grab a photo.

Fun Facts:
☘️ In Ireland the day was once a religious feast, with pubs required to close. The law changed in the 1970s, and today it’s a global celebration with around 13 million pints of Guinness enjoyed worldwide on St Patrick’s Day.
☘️ Saint Patrick wasn’t Irish at all.
Born Maewyn Succat in Roman Britain, as a teenager he was kidnapped by Irish raiders and taken to Ireland. He spent years enslaved working as a shepherd.
☘️ Green wasn’t the original colour of St Patrick’s Day - it was blue.
☘️ The first recorded St Patrick’s Day parade took place in St. Augustine in 1601.
☘️ St Patrick’s Day goes green in creative ways - in Chicago the river is dyed bright green, while in Australia pubs often serve green b**r.
